  • Great lock, easy to use!
Style: Fingerprint door lock
This is a great doorknob; the color went great with our existing motif. The setup is a little odd at first, but once you do it a couple of times, it is not that bad. From time to time the fingerprint reader will no longer recognize a person, but then will work again after a few minutes, which is less than ideal. ... show more

  • One thing to keep in mind
Style: Fingerprint door lock
This lock works well, easy to install with minimal effort. it even has its own app with he option of multiple fingerprints. One thing that does worry me is which side the charger is in. This will have to be charged but it’s from the outside lock. other than that almost perfect

  • Works as intended but the app is suspect.
Style: Fingerprint door lock
The media could not be loaded. Works great and is easy to install. Tested authorized and unauthorized fingerprints and device grants or denies access accurately. The app and Bluetooth unlock works but was a little tricky to link to the doorknob. My main complaint here is that the app is some funky Chinese app that wants way too much information, such as location and wi-fi information. I disabled all access except for Bluetooth, and wi-fi information isn’t required to use the app. Still, the app is suspect as it is incomplete (features spelling errors) and wants information that shouldn’t be necessary to operate this product. Just gives me sus vibes as some Chinese company is trying to collect my data. They have my fingerprint already now, and that is a bit concerning. You can disable the annoying beep in the app, so that’s good. ... show more

  • Worth every penny!!! Easy installation & Setup & Use!
Style: Fingerprint door lock
Easy to install and set was less than a min. You need to install the free app on your phone. App allows you to: Use multiple finger prints and label for each family. Allows for time frames to be set for each user. Allows you to enable auto lock, so door automatically locks after whatever time frame 1-99 seconds etc. you decide. Allows you to unlock remotely Definitely ordering a few more! ... show more

  • I’m 100% satisfied but…
Style: Fingerprint door lock
The instruction booklet was for another model door lock. It had a diagram with another similar lock. The instructions weren’t relevant other than installing the lock. It was very frustrating trying to set it up. I just had to figure it out without direction. Set up took 30 minutes without directions. After I got it programmed I was more than happy with the lock that I had to give it 5 stars regardless of the setup issue. ... show more

  • Fast finger print recognition, works great!
Style: Fingerprint door lock
The media could not be loaded. Bought this to keep our son out of our room and use it multiple times a day. Only problem is that it doesn’t work well when your hands are wet after washing hands or doing dishes, just know that you need to dry your hands really well. I’d also recommend storing two or more fingerprints in case you cut a finger or something or one hand is full. ... show more

  • Struggles to recognize fingerprints consistently, AND, refuses to charge (update)
Style: Fingerprint door lock
I really wanted this to work for our situation - on paper, it is exactly what we need in order to secure a door to a dangerously steep basement stairway from an aged parent with dementia. However, there are a couple of problems with the product that make it less than ideal. We're keeping it, but it's frustrating: 1. The fingerprint recognition is good if you don't work with your hands for a living. I work with my hands for a living, and my fingers are continuously in varying states of dryness and/or recovery due to exposure to harsh chemicals. This has never been a problem for Apple's Touch ID (either on the older iPhones, or on the newer laptops), so I know it's POSSIBLE to create a fingerprint recognition product that works. But this one constantly struggles to recognize my fingerprints, which causes me to reach for the key, which is a pain to use because you have to insert it from the bottom of the knob. So there's always a lot of fumbling and fuming when that happens. I re-trained the knob's fingerprint recognition a few times, but it always seems to be hit or miss with my fingerprints. Others in my household, (none of whom work with their hands for a living), seem to have no issues. 2. The app is SUPER INVASIVE, requesting all kinds of access to everything on your phone. I have no reason to trust this company to respect my privacy, and wouldn't trust that they are motivated to prioritize my security over their own profit motives, so I've made a point to only give access to bluetooth, (which is required to train the knob). And, once I've completed training, I delete the app from my phone. This is another hassle since I've had to reinstall the app several times to attempt re-training the fingerprint recognition. On the plus side, the knob continues to work just fine without the app installed on any phones, (well, except for the fingerprint detection being inconsistent, as described above). Given how careful Apple has been to develop hardware that only stores our biometrics on our devices, it feels like a serious mistake to trust biometric data to a foreign company with no reputation to speak of. I would think twice about securing the exterior of my home with it, but it's just fine for protecting my 92-year old mother in law from tumbling down the stairs. 3. UPDATE: Now, 4 months after purchasing, (and notably, after the return window has closed), the battery in the knob has reached critical low level, and when I plugged it in to charge it, it doesn't charge! I tried two different cables, on two different power adapters - nada. I left it plugged in for 10 hours, and the app still reports just 7% charge. This product is JUNK. ... show more
