  • Excellent alternative surf rod
Style: A: 10'-2pcs
I decided to give this Fiblink 10' Surf Rod a try because it match my Kastking Sharky II 6000 and Baitfeeder II 6000 reels. One of my requirement is that it has to support 5oz. weight which this surf rod does according to the spec. I also didn't expect the feels just right in your hand and that it is very light weight compare to the Okuma Longitude 10' Surf Rod. What I didn't like about it is the tip can be made a little more sturdy. My first surf rod after 6 months of use; the tip broke off and caused me a 4oz. and a 5oz. crab snares. I think this is where Fiblink can improve on. What I like is that Fiblink has a 1 year warranty. In the beginning, I didn't expect any email reply back from Fiblink but about a few days later maybe a week or so; I received an email about sending me replacement tip but I don't know how to remove the original broken tip so the best second option was to replace my rod. Fiblink didn't hesitate to send out a replacement for me which I received. I highly recommend this surf rod and give them a try. I am so happy with my first purchase of a 10' surf rod even with the unexpected tip broke off; I purchased a second 10' and will be looking into get a 12' version soon. Great pricing and very decent quality for a surf rod. ... show more

  • By far best value and quality in Surf rod at this price
Style: A: 12'-2pcs
Got the rod a couple weeks ago and finally got to do some test casts. Here are the pros and cons I've deduced. Pros: -12 damn feet long -casts a mile. If you're using braid you must tape your casting finger so that when you apply pressure to cast the line doesn't cut into your finger. -very sturdy rod yet sensitive and responsive enough to feel bites from tiny interference fish -the bottom of the rod looks just like a tsunami airwave, in terms of grip tape and butt of the rod. Cons (sort of): - after a year of use the guide at the tip developed a crack but customer service was more than helpful and took care of it immediately, politely, and at no cost - With the value you get and the top notch quality service it will be hard not to buy more Conclusion: For $60 you get a phenomenal bait chunking rod or heavy lure rod that casts a mile. I recommend a minimum of a 5000 size reel (Penn sizing, which is equivalent of daiwa 4000) Update: Been using this rod for two years now and I'm very impressed. I got used to handling a 12ft rod and the quality for price is amazing. Pulled in a 30+ pound cownose ray at one point without a problem, and I used the butt of the rod to push the ray back into the water (turns out cownose rays are nearly harmless, but better safe than sorry). After a year the only problem that ever came up was the smallest guide cracking and customer service took care of it by the time I could write a thank you email. There's no other surfcasting rod brand of such quality at this price point. Tsunami and tika charge more for similar spec rods, are very difficult to buy online, and tsunamis from my experience are far more fragile than my Fiblink rod. I will be purchasing a 10ft model from Fiblink for lure use. ... show more

  • Pole was great, until it wasn’t.
Style: A: 12'-2pcs (Upgrades)
Pole broke after 3 months of using it for crab snaring. Using 8oz snares, was never a problem. Until one day the rod gave out, casting from the beach. Never heard a crack sound before, until it gave out without warning. Loved casting it, but no a long lasting pole. There is supposed to be a 1 Year manufactory guarantee, trying to see if this is true. Update: good customer service, sending a replacement pole Pole was great for crab snares, casting was fluid. Great bang for the buck. ... show more

  • Great quality rod for money
Style: A: 12'-2pcs (Upgrades)
Not a beginner quality rod. This rod is very nice and works great. Sturdy even though it’s a 2 piece rod. Great for surf fishing or anything else where you already need to get the bait out there

  • Thin, light, and cast a mile with 4 oz sputnik.
Style: A: 13'-2pcs
Great for long cast to get to the second bar. Great sensitivity. Bought 5 months ago and the tip broke about 6 inches from the tip. Went ahead and bought another to replace it until I can get it fixed or support can contacts me to replace. Really do love the rod. Hope the next one holds up better. I give it five stars for performance. But not so much for durability hopefully support reaches out and I can give them 5 stars as well. ... show more

  • Good Entry Level Rod or So I Thought
Style: A: 12'-2pcs (Upgrades)
Just getting into surf fishing and did not want to spend major $ only to discover I did not like this style of fishing. Not as refined as other "name brand" rods such as Penn, etc..., but great value and will hold up to at least casual use. Outfit for guides or hard, daily use? Time would only tell, but for a googan like me, they work very well. UPDATE: first trip was excellent performance; second was not as fortunate. The rod broke under moderate load (Big redfish). The tip half broke where it interfaces with the base/reel half… splintering into several fragments. Spectacular fail in a remote area of surf… WILL NOT BUY AGAIN ... show more

  • Nice rods
Style: A: 10'-2pcs
These are really nice rods for a fisherman with a budget. They’re going to work out well for being able to get further out into the lakes from shore. I got mine in medium heavy action. I gave my bass boat to my son as hookup to the hitch and pushing back into the garage has gotten to be a little too much for me. ... show more
