I put it through the ringer on three trips so far and it is held up fantastic. The action on it is great for flipping heavier stickbaits, and it has held up great to fish up to 50 pounds. I'm genuinely impressed with this. The rod blank seems top quality. The guides are about what you would expect at this price point, and the build QC is probably considerably lower than some of the really expensive brands, but so far it's worked great for me.

I didn’t know what to expect when I bought this rod, but its ultimate test came when I fought and landed a 12 pound striped bass. The rod held up REALLY GOOD. The only issue is that the handle caps don’t appear to be fixed properly and I lost mine the first day of fishing in the ocean, but no big deal. I still give this rod 5 star rating. It casts very good. So please go ahead and buy it.

Looks like a nice rod for the money.i hope it really is a heavy duty rod because it's actually quite light weight in design which I like. Update the rod broke in half during casting doubting this was truly heavy duty. Won't buy again.
