I decided to repair 2 large outdoor ratan rockers whose seats had worn through. This product was easy to use I found a pretty close color match. It's easy to tell "top" from "bottom" of the strands and it's a sturdy product. It was time-consuming to re-weave rattan furniture, but glad I found this and did it, as the chairs I repaired will have many more years of use now. Don't recommend repairing rattan if your fingers are arthritic or not flexible, as it takes some dexterity and patience to do the weaving. ... show more

This product looks very good . It so far has performed well as I have wrapped an older papasan chair that was missing the real raffia in many spots due to my cat enjoying it so very much. I basically had a slightly bare chair to rewrap. This product worked very well and I would reorder it. I liked the way it is variegated and matches well with my chair . It feels real to the touch . It seems to be performing very well though it has only been a few months that I have had it on. It did the job and I got a huge amount for the price and I should have done the entire chair in one continuous looping about the cane . The reason why is that the plastic is very very slippery and takes awhile to get used to working with it. It took about half the chair for me to realize it is best to do a continua wrapping. I has to use a finish nail to begin and end the project . And this plastic cannot be glued into place . Plan to use staples or a Finnish nail and enjoy your repair. I would and will ores this again as it is a very nice product. But if you are used to using real natural wrapping don’t expect to be wrapping or weaving your project as one would with real caning. That said buy this product . You are getting an excellent value for your money . It seems quite strong and durable. Just plan your applications as it is very slippery and takes a bit of getting used to . That said once used to using this it went more quickly than using real caning ! Yes I recommend . ... show more
