Fabulous bike. So many things I'll try to remember everyone's issues that I have an answer for. The manual is lame but there is a pdf to download and that will show you how to program your bikes settings. I've already tried to make the bike go faster. You can't make it go faster as this particular bike is a class 2 I believe that's what the bike shop said and they are only allowed in the USA if they are regulated down to 20mph ish. There is away around that but I haven't done it yet. You can look on YouTube and find info on how to navigate around the restriction. Highly suggest getting better tires if you are going to do that. I've had the bike for 3 weeks and have put on over 150 miles. I did not like the ghost pedaling so I ordered and installed the new gear cassette another reviewer suggested. It works great. I can now pedal up to 25mph. I couldn't handle the setup of the bike. I'm old and it was hard on my back. Luckily it has perfectly long cables so I was able to raise the handle bars up over a foot in height. New handle bars and Orion 8 inch lift. Worked great!!! Disliked the seat so put a big one on so now it's very comfortable and I can still pedal my a## off if I want to. Also installed a rear bike rack so I can haul a cooler or stuff on our long rides. Had to replace tires as the stock ones wore very fast. Now have a harder compound and higher weight rating for safety at speed. Yes the bike has cruise control. It also has about everything you can think of as far as adjustments for the controller. The display can be made brighter. Pedal assist is adjustable. The light can be turned on and off by holding one of the buttons for a few seconds. Becareful and hold one of the brakes on if you're trying this as the bike will take off on you in cruise control mode. You will find the pdf by the manufacturer info on the listing. I took photos of all 17 pages. I bought a cellphone holder from Amazon and use a GPS speedometer app, this way I'm I can always see my mileage and speed and trip length. On that note I consistently average 20 to 24 miles per trip. When the battery is down to 1 bar the display starts showing you a percentage of battery remaining when you let go of the throttle I believe I could get up to 30 miles if I would pedal more. I already start by pedal power to conserve battery. I usually just use battery power and set cruise control so I can sit straight up and don't bother using my hands for miles. We ride on newer paved bike trails so very smooth ride. So updates done thus far. New, bars 8 inch yoke riser Tires Seat Back rack Led tail light Another set of much wider tires arriving tomorrow from Amazon. Wider will give me a softer ride at 20 psi. 26x 2.40 inches Most important of all is get blue locktite, and put it on the screws on your rear motor hub. They were about to fall off and that would definitely not be a good thing. Also my front brake needed more blue on it as well. It had worked itself lose. I will not ride in water as I don't think it's waterproof as there's no rubber seals to keep out the moisture. The keys do work and lock the battery in place. If you can't lock it you may not have your battery seated properly. There isn't an on off switch on the battery as it isn't needed. Once it's installed it's ready to go you just need to hit the power button on the control display. I bring my charger if we're going to eat so I can get a boost for the ride back. Will be buying another battery from Amazon. If you read the info from the seller it states there's no circuitry so that's telling me once I use that I can see what the top speed really is. Plus I can go on 40 mile rides without battery stress. The 48 volt 750 watt version the battery is at 56 volts fully charged and goes down to 48 after 20 miles. Speed slightly reduces to 19mph but still gives you plenty of time to pedal assist yourself back to home or the parking lot. I'm sure there's more and will update if I think of anything else. I'll be looking at the question area if anyone has questions I'll try to answer them. ... show more

  • So far so good
Style: 750w48v
I got this bike for the teenage daughter so that she might possibly, just barely conceivably, get out a bit more to visit friends or simply to get out and get some fresh air. Yes, I know. I'm obviously a hopeless optimist who's not in touch with reality. Aside from the fact that it's destined to sit in the garage for the next two years, this seems to be a decent electric bike. Please note that I'm going to be judging based on assembling it and looking over the frame and components (I'm an engineer and an experienced cyclist) and discussing with my daughter after her rides. The frame is too small for me to ride comfortably so I can't use it myself. (I'm a big dude. People who aren't tall and heavy should have no problem.) As a bike, ignoring the electric aspect, it's so-so. The frame is solid. Maybe a bit too rigid. The welds look good. It weighs a ton. That's understandable because of the battery and motor, but it means that you'll need to use the electric boost unless you're looking for a very good workout. Including the electric aspect, it's easier to ride around than a regular bike is. We didn't have any big hills to test on and I didn't attach a trailer and throw in a couple of cinder blocks, but I imagine that the motor would be the biggest help with those. Running in "pure electric" mode allows an exceptionally lazy child (Gee, wherever would I find one of those?) to let the bike do all of the work. "Boost" mode just helps when the rider needs it, I guess; my daughter's description didn't give me a good idea of when it kicks in but she figured it out and was riding easily. Top speed doesn't seem to be high enough to let her keep up with me when I'm tooling along, which I'd been hoping for, but it should be fine for ordinary use. We haven't used it enough yet to get an idea of how long the battery lasts. I don't know how long it takes to charge an empty battery; we plugged it in in the evening and it was charged by morning and it's still almost full. Assembly wasn't bad. The instructions are good. One nut (to hold the headlight in position) and one tool (the 3mm allen key) were missing but everything else was present and in good shape. (This wasn't a problem for me as I have plenty of tools and a bucket of miscellaneous nuts and bolts and washers.) I do suggest that the instructions be changed so that the handlebar be put on the post loosely as Step 2, to get it out of the way for putting the front tire on. There was a small burr or possibly a glob of paint on either the left pedal or the hole in the crank, making it hard to get the threading started. Other than those minor issues, assembly was straightforward. Everything seems to be together correctly. The clamp for the seat post doesn't tighten far enough to hold the post up or to keep the seat from pivoting a bit. I'll look to see if there was a burr to keep it from tightening, if I need to score the seat post a bit to get a better grip on the inside of the downtube, and so on. It's probably not a major problem but might be difficult for a non-handy person to figure out. That's the only problem in operation that we found. I might want to fiddle with the brakes a bit but they're OK as they are, I'm just finicky about them. Overall, this seems to be a decent bike. The biggest problem for us is the rider, haha. ... show more

  • Honest Review: Good eBike
Style: 750w48v
I purchase this e-bike (750w) during the Prime Day special. This is my first e-bike. Within the first 4 days of riding the battery failed. I contacted Amazon who reached out to the Manufacturer (USA based company). The communication was good and they sent a replacement battery (free shipping). I downloaded the manual and adjusted the e-bike settings to my preferences. I ride this e-bike almost every day. Within the two months of owning it I have gone almost 700 miles. This bike has held up and just keep going. I will be replacing the tires and break pads due to normal wear and tear. However the e-bike is built better than I would have expected. I have had no other problems with this bike. I average 25 miles of riding a day. The trials I ride have hills and battery is spent at times after riding. My speed range from 20 - 30+ (going down hill @ 30+). However with peddling I average around 22 mph. I use my Garmin watch for daily miles calculations however the bike has an odometer in the display. I only changed the seat and peddles. If I could give this ebike more than five stars I would. This is a great e-bike and you cannot beat the price for 750w. I am very satisfied with my purchase and the customer service is A+ when you contact them via Amazon. If you are looking for an e-bike consider this one. It is a game changer!!! ... show more
