These amps simply kick ass. 10” or 12”, the Fender FRFRs are workhorse reliable, they both do the job equally well. While designed as a platform for pedal amp models, the added tone controls are welcome as a built in EQ for whatever you’re using as the front end. I’ve had this cab for several months now and I’m completely happy with how I can use the EQ knobs to shape the tone to each venue. Some stages produce too much bass, others too much high end, and some produce a muddy low mid mess. I can totally cut or boost what I need to. The cut knob really tames the high end if I feel the tone is too harsh, say, on a concrete stage. Not sure why other FRFR guitar cabs don’t have this feature. The legs give me the option to tilt so my sound doesn’t just blow at my calves if I’m playing on a small stage. Get it if you want to make your modeled guitar tone sound even better! ... show more

    • Clean sound and great volume when used as an amp modeler amplifier
I was surprised and how great the sound was with my Pod Go amp models. Amazing difference from using my old amp to run through. Such a clean great sound so I can model any other sounds easily with lots of headroom. I use it for my own monitoring and usually only turn it up to 2½ to 4. No more direct boxes to house with its built-in XLR out. And the built-in amp stand is perfect so I don't have to set up my own anymore. I play with an instrumental ensemble of brass, woodwinds, and percussion, so hearing myself is important. ... show more
