  • Love the touchscreen control
Color: AK2000S Adv(With Focus Motor)-MAX4.85 lb
I have used many gimbals in the past. Recently got the Sony A7C. Wanted a full featured gimbal with small footprint. Decided to give this one a try. - Fairly compact size. Once the gimbal is folded, it can fit on A4 size paper. Fairly compact, for a full featured gimbal. - Max payload, this gimbal might have small footprints, but it is powerful enough to handle cameras up to 4lb. - Gimbal weight, the gimbal itself weights about 2.5lb. Compare to Zhiyun Crane 2s close to 5lb. AK2000s is much lighter. - This kit comes with the detachable handle, great for lower angle shots. It is mounted on by 3 screws, which you need to manually screw on and off, when mounting or taking off the handle. I like how the handle works, but I just wish it was easier to put on and take off. Hope Feiyu can upgrade that in the future. - Quick release plate, I love the QR design. This plate actually supports ARCA system. Which is what I use for all my tripods, and camera. That makes so much easier for me to remove and mount the camera on this gimbal. Unlike other gimbals, I need to remove my whole ARCA plate, and mount a different gimbal plate. This is a great design, makes my life so much easier. - Touchscreen control, on the touchscreen control, you can pretty much control all the settings. Like change modes, changing aperture, and shutter speed. Selecting the wheel functions and more. This gives me quick, and easy access to all the settings and functions on this gimbal. Seems like Feiyu have this on a lot of their gimbals now. I have been using this gimbal with my A7C, and 20mm 1.8 lens. Very compact setup. This combo can produce pretty smooth video footage most of the time. At times I did notice a bit of jitter, it is not obvious, but if you pay close attention you can see it when you playback the footages on bigger screen. I am not sure if its a setting, calibration or design issue. Will be doing more test on that. As for the focus motor, I don’t use it often, but it is a function to have. I might try to use it more often in the future, depends on the type of shoot. For a full featured mirrorless/DSLR gimbal, I love the compactness, and the touchscreen control. ... show more

  • Good item for a mid grade camera.
Color: AK2000S Std-4.85 lb-Mirrorless/DSLR Camera
I use a canon 90d and normally a 17-55 ultrasonic lens, however with this configuration the lens will be too heavy for the gimbal to be properly balanced. The plate won’t slide far enough back to counter that weight, if you try to back it up to the point of balance the camera will hit the stabilizer during operation. I went ahead and used the standard 18-55 lens canon sends with these cameras in bundles, that works fine it’s quite a bit lighter so I can properly balance it. I wish the Handel had a quick release not 3 screws. I’ve had issues with it connecting over WiFi to the camera however I use the usb cable instead which is fine however I don’t have all the functions like ISO or exposed controls that the gimbal displays, not sure if that’s a firmware issue but I updated both, so not sure why, but I get picture and video control and that’s what a really need. This is a fantastic Stabilizer for a mid grade camera if you try to use nice big glass it’s not going to work, or you have a camera bigger than a mirror less Sony or canon rebel it’s going to be challenging to fully use, the lens support doesn’t actually line up with the lens due to the space that the hand grip takes on my 90d when pushed all the way to the right of the stabilizer, so I don’t use that stabilizer which isn’t a huge deal unless you buy the follow focus because you may have issues lining that mount up. Over all battery is great it’s light sleek and smooth. Mid grade item in my opinion but they definitely are on there way to a great stabilization tool. ... show more

  • The gimbal, refined!
Color: AK2000S Std-4.85 lb-Mirrorless/DSLR Camera
I’ve become somewhat of a gimbal snob over the years. Started with a gimbal for my gopro and a few iterations of those and then we upped our game to a Mirrorless camera. Was using the G6 plus before as the original AK2000 was too large and heavy for me to travel with. However this new model, the AK2000S has everything I’ve been looking for in an extremely refined package. The styling has been completely redone. The fit and finish is outstanding and the rosewood plates on the side make for a great and secure hand feel. The size is now smaller and yet it feels sturdier. The update now has gotten rid of the removal battery and I think that’s a good thing. I tested it for a long time and didn’t run out of juice or even come close. All the axis positions lock now physically so the gimbal won’t wobble when not in use. Balancing is a breeze with the markers on every positions d the locking screws are very nice and snug. The biggest thing that surprised me was the strength and quietness of the updated motors. In previous gimbals I have experienced a slight hum and if you use a camera with an articulating screen may have balancing problems. I didn’t experience anything like that and it was so silent I didn’t think it was on. The new touch screen is very easy to use and inception mode is incredibly easy to access. The time lapse feature is also very easy to use and access. I’ve been using this now with my Canon M50 sleuth both the stock lens and telephoto lens. In the box it comes with a high quality tripod, every single possible cable you could imagine. Lastly the addition of the extra handle makes using this gimbal a breeze! Add the great case that comes with it and you’ll be all set. This is now my favorite and go to gimbal. Any vlogger or videographer will not be disappointed with this tool. ... show more

  • Mostly works with Canon R5
Color: AK2000S Std-4.85 lb-Mirrorless/DSLR Camera
I bought this to use with the Canon R5 with the 24-105 lens. It handles the weight OK, but has to set the motor strength to maximum. It does occasionally get into a vibration oscillation hum at certain angles. It also doesn't completely clear the gimbal. When balanced, the eyecup hits the gimbal at certain angles. I've tried adding mass to the rear of the camera to shift the center of balance backward, but it still impacts. For the price it's a good value, but this is not the best gimbal to use with the R5 because of the tight clearance. ... show more
