I tried several Led lights in the garage and shop. The problem is getting the right amount of light without blinding yourself by some harsh high lumen output. Think of these as just a really verstile light bulb. They are pretty powerful, but the ability to turn the arms so that the light isnt quite so direct into the deepest part of your cornea makes them super handy. I have one that faces straight up, so all light is diffused through reflection fron the cieling, and its plenty bright for a standard ceiling height. I have plans to buy more once I get around to finishing a shop renovation. At this price, its an excellent value. ... show more

There's a LOT to like about this innovative lighting fixture. It screws right into a standard light bulb fixture, it has four panels that fold-out as much as you like, and -- man, all four of them are very, very, very bright! I had a 200-watt old-style incandescent bulb in the garage, and I dreaded the time when it would finally die, but now I wish I'd bought this Feit garage lamp long before now. It is excellent! One thing I don't understand, though... the product description here at the amazon page says that it is a "3 panel" light, but actually it is a FOUR panel light fixture. And, yeah, these things aren't cheap, but honestly, I have no doubt that these lamps are definitely worth it, especially considering that they'll probably last for years and years. The Feit 3 panel LED garage light is just right for my low ceiling garage. It's compact, bright and not harsh. 5000 K is just so much easier on the eyes than 6500 K. The LEDs are behind plastic diffusers which spreads the light and reduces glare. The low profile means it doesn't get in the way. I got this to replace a higher wattage no-name brand 3 panel garage light that had one panel die only a year after I put it in service. I decided I'd replace it with a brand name I know and appreciate. And the cost of the Feit was only a little more than the no-name it replaced. ... show more
