I’ve been using this A/C pretty regularly for a couple months now. My room was super hot compared to the rest of the house even when the home A/C was running. I set this thing up and I can safely say I sleep in the coolest room in the whole house. I normally put it on 72 while I’m sleeping and it cools off and shuts off when it reaches temp like you’d think it should. Every now and again the red power light will blink but I just turn it off and back on and it stops. Might be the filter because I smoke a lot of cigarettes in this room. Totally glad I bought this thing!

It blows cold air, but has some problems. If it runs for more than 20 minutes, or if you set the temperature below 71F, it will end up going into 'freeze protection' mode where it turns off the compressor and turns the fan to high speed for 10 minutes. It's pretty much impossible to get below 71F because of this. Also if the weather is a bit cooler, it ends up short cycling where runs for a minute or two, then shuts off for 5 minutes and repeats. The fan is the loud part. You can't really hear the compressor under the fan. The fan continues running for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off, which is excessive. 30-60 seconds is enough. If you wanted this to be always running for computer equipment or something, it won't work for you. It's barely getting by for me in the bedroom at night. It needs fixes in its firmware programming. Edit: After more time with this unit, I've found it's totally worthless. There are numerous design flaws that make it unusable. They use a temperature sensor to measure suction pressure, rather than using a pressure sensor. This only measures sensible heat and not latent heat, so it doesn't take into effect the heat transfer from condensing moisture on the evap coil. This is why we use pressure sensors instead. Also when it goes into lock out mode, the condensor fan continues running for 10 minutes, and since it's a single hose design, that means it pulls air from the room and through cracks in windows and doors to cool the condensor and pump that air outside. So you're stuck for 10 minutes pulling warm air into your space to accommodate the 10 minute lock out because they used the wrong type of sensor. The 3 minute warm down after the compressor has the same exact problem - the condensor fan continues running and pulls warm air into the room. I also found the room temperature sensor is way off. It was 74F in the room last night and I had a set point of 70F and it still wouldn't turn on. I've noticed this item is out of stock. Usually with these letter salad brand names, when they get trashed in reviews, they just generate a new name and continue selling the same product under a new name, so this might never be available again. If it is, DO NOT BUY IT. It will not work for you. Edit: Purchase refunded.

Updated..... Customer service was responsive and gave me trouble shooting to try. Turns out several outlets in that room are bad and needed to be replaced. Now the unit works with no issues when the cord is moved. Initial thoughts: Unit works great when the cord is in a certain spot. It the power cord is moved the unit will turn off. When through the return item and looks like I will have to pay shipping if i i can find the carrier the company sent the label thru but there is nothing that says what that company is. So am I going to have to play whos shipping label is this? Anyways, I will update this if I can get ahold of customer service and get this figured out. Im not going to use a unit with a defective cord and worry about a house fire.

If the system gets near 70% humidity in a room then it's going to just stop being able to cool the room and basically get stuck in defrost and repeat mode.
