I purchased this a while back but didn't take it out of the box until last week. I started my seeds, flowers, tomatoes, peppers and have been using the light daily. I cannot believe how quickly the seeds started to germinate. Every year I stick the trays in a window and wait. Within days, the green started to show. Although the light itself is only about 7 or 8 inches wide, it casts the light about 2 ft. I think this will do the job of keeping my aloe plant looking lively during the winter months, but I quickly discovered that if I want to listen to my radio in the same room, the light must be turned off. When the light is on it generates intense interference and blocks out the signal of at least the lower powered non-commercial FM stations I listen to. The 6 24" LED sticks from another manufacturer that I have mounted under shelves in the window for my smaller desert dwelling plants do not cause this issue to anywhere near the same degree. I already had the tripod version and decided to get more of them because the light output is excellent and my plants are doing very good. I have my plants on a little shelf thing that could be used for a bookcase or for whatever but I wanted something that could be more versatile on the lower levels and this clamp on type works great. I ordered another one yesterday evening. Update: they were amazing at helping my plants grow. I have transferred everything to the garden now. I was able to start my seeds early and keep the plants alive better than I could before having these lights. I LOVE these lights. I use these almost exclusively for my aroids (except the ones in the cabinet) because they're perfect for my setup. The daisy chain function is awesome! I have about 16 lights and most are plugged into one smart outlet on a timer. I like that they offer a mix of timers and without, and also a mix of tabletop, tripod, and clamp. I have all 3 styles without the timer spread throughout my living room and one timer in my bedroom. I love these and they're strong enough for my tropical plants, specifically my variegated plants. I'm particularly happy with the growth on my syngonium chiapense variegated, which had low variegation when I bought it. Now it's popping out half moons! I also have a philodendron Jerry Horne which flowered under these lights so I know it's happy. Overall, I'm happy with the quality, lightweight nature, and functionality of these lights. They are strong enough and are very easy to use/setup and takedown when necessary. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for good grow lights. ... show more

I have purchased 3 of these in total, I do believe they provide sufficient light. All of my plants have thrived under them. Pros: - They actually provide enough light, unlike the cheap ring lights marketed as plant lights. - They have a timer setting for 4,8 or 12 hours. If you set the timer once, it’ll automatically turn on at the same time you last set it and follow the timing increment you last chose which is very convenient. Cons: - The extender is not long enough unfortunately. It makes it very awkward to find places to put it. The company could certainly add an extra extender. - It is top heavy so you need to be careful about how much you bend the pole or it’ll fall over. They could add more weight to the base so it doesn’t fall over as easily. You could also do this at home, it just might not look as good. - There is no adjusting the light intensity. It is what it is. It would be nice if they added multiple options for light output. ... show more

Planted and waited on seeds to sprout previous to the lamp. Once I received it they grew like crazy. Using it indoors. It was easy to assemble, but it does bend on purpose. Hubby thought he broke it but nope. It doesn’t tip over. I would rate six out of five for this product.
