The directions for assembly could be better, like a lot better, but if you can pay attention to the small details in the pictures you'll probably be okay, I really recommend getting this if you have your own good tools to use rather than using the tools included because there are lots of little pieces. My boyfriend put this together and it took him a few hours, which was longer than we both expected it to take. All that said, once put together it's a nice cat tree. My cat spends a lot of time on it looking out the window and napping in the sun. The litter box entrance is well positioned so he is comfortable going in and out of it, we did decide to leave the sliding doors off at first while the cat got used to it and put them on a few days apart. It's very sturdy and seems like it's mostly good quality. My only complaint is that the back panel of the cabinet is a much flimsier and soft piece of particle board and isn't nearly as sturdy as the other cabinet pieces. We decided to purchase a piece of plastic or tarp to add a little extra protection to the back panel so if any urine happens to get on it, it will be more protected, although that hasn't been an issue for our cat but it might be for others. Overall we are happy with the purchase, and would recommend it especially for the price range. Make sure to set aside a few hours (3-4) for assembly, and I really do recommend some sort of extra protection for the back panel to avoid urine absorption. Make sure to read every step of the directions carefully before you begin assembling it, preferably a couple times. I really love this cat tower. I got it because I downsized in my new place and liked that I could put the litter box inside it. My cat seems to like it when I put her on it or spray it with catnip but she is a bit apprehensive about it. I recommend adding more padding or a blanket in places because you can still feel the top of the screw through the fabric making it not as comfortable to lay on for the cat. ... show more

My hand was freaking DYING in the middle of the step where you have to use the stupid hex key to put like 50,000 screws in. But after that was done and I could use a regular screwdriver again, I was fine! It went together VERY easily after that. One tip, though: When attaching the panels, take a few seconds with each one to make sure they're all facing the right direction. Both of my cats love the tree -- the height (perfect for this 5'2" gal to give her kitty some kisses), the beds, the hammock in particular. HOWEVER, it's difficult for both of them (one slight chonk and one super skinny, both quite agile) to get to the top two levels because of the odd angle from the top of the pper box to the next level. There's not much room for them to jump up. The downsides: The veneer has chipped off in one place so far, but I can't tell where that little piece I found came from, so I'm not terribly worried. The diagonal shelf has scraped my arm as I walk by on several occasions, and I'm trying to find something to put on there so it's not quite so sharp. The top bed also sticks out a good 4-5 inches behind the back of the rest of the bed, so it doesn't sit flush with the wall behind it, which I don't like at all. And there aren't nearly enough sisal rope posts -- only two!! I may remove the faux fur covering and add some sisal myself at some point, we'll see. I do know from previous Feandrea trees that their sisal tends to fray really easily and quickly and make a huge mess (other brands use sturdier sisal), but I'm willing to replace it if it means I get a better tree overall. ... show more

My kitten is just about 13 weeks old and had never had a cat condo before I brought him home. The only complaints I have are that the instructions are about trash! One design flaw is the awkward step up from under the perched bed, with the spacing and height. He is having a difficult time getting up and down without having enough space and no traction for him to aid in him jumping up. I am now looking for a piece of fabric to Velcro to the spot and/or some sort of ladder. One suggestion I have is to cut down the number of languages on the instruction booklet and add words with each step, this would be very helpful ! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I’ve got 8 fur babies, 5 of them are enjoying this in the back bedroom. They don’t use the bottom cabinet much but love the tower part they lay on every inch of it and play on it constantly. One of them is pretty fat and lays in the top perch and so far it’s held him just fine ( had for a couple weeks) the smaller cats love the side bowl shaped hammock part not sure what it’s called. I’m 5 ft 6 and this is as tall as me including the sticks that stick out. Took me about an hour to put together but I’m not a spring chicken anymore and I move slower due to injuries, typical person good with putting things together should be done in half hour. Seems to be good quality and looks nice. I have yet to wash any of the covers so I can’t speak as to how they hold up through washing but the unit itself is great, pleased with my purchase ... show more

This was super easy to assemble. Wish I would have purchased this sooner, having the liter box inside is a game changer. I have a larger cat and although the area to lay on is a little bit on the smaller side he fits and lays without a problem.
