It did take me a bit to open and put this together because I was getting my floors done. I like the overall look and size of the crate; however, the metal part that goes on the bottom completely broke off the sides of the crate. I know the crate has a weight limit but my dog does not weigh 80lbs. I've only used it for a couple months so I don't know why the metal rails would break. Because they came off the sides now it sinks and its hard to get the tray in and out of the crate. I hate that this happened because it really is a nice roomy crate. For the price of the crate I expected a sturdier metal. Now I can't return or getting any feedback on how to fix. ... show more

I waited to review this kennel so I could see how it would hold up since the wood seemed to be particle board laminated. HOWEVER it is now one year later and it is still as sturdy and looks just like when I first received it! I am highly impressed which doesn’t happen often with things like this. I added lights and a shag rug inside with her bed and she even has a little travel tv/dvd that I hang on the inside for when I leave and she has to stay home since she loves watching her “stories.” It has been officially dubbed as her little “apartment” and she absolutely LOVES IT! If you are hesitant on buying this because of some of the reviews I’ve seen that made me hesitant too, I assure you that you won’t regret this purchase! Just do what I did and make it your own for your fur-children’s needs and likes. Seriously you won’t regret it nor will your furry-kiddos, I think my photo alone speaks for itself. ... show more

I have had a basic black wire kennel for a long time and wife wanted something nicer to match the way our bedroom setup. I honestly didn’t care much at first but once it’s setup, I would say I quite like the look! We used to just lay a blanket on top of the old kennel and always put lots of random stuff on top but now we want to keep it neat as is. Assembly is fairly easy, took about 15 minutes with the tools that came with. Wasn’t that many trash to deal with the packaging neither. Not too heavy if need to move it around, I put together downstairs and carried up a floor by myself no issue. Dog didn’t care much the change as long as his bed and blanket are there. It was pretty easy putting in together. All the parts were there with the tool you will need and detailed instructions. The last piece was the most difficult to attach. There was a abnormality with the predrilled hole and the screw did not fit correctly. I had to adjust it to fit properly. I like the design and the freedom to adjust the openings to fit your area. The size was correct for my miniature Dachshund. I like the slide out pan at the bottom for easy clean up. It blends in with my surrounding furniture. ... show more

I put it up the same day, well i tried i had no instructions. One of the back screw holes is stripped so i can’t get a screw to go in, and i don’t even want to bother trying to get a replacement because taken it down and trying to return it would be too much of a hassle. it looks good i have a lab/german shepherd mix and she’s highly destructive the bottom crate is more durable than i had imagined. and it’s bigger than an xl travel crate for more room for her. i would give it 5 stars if the instructions came with it and the screw hole wasn’t messed up.. ... show more

3 things: 1) I was hoping to have the back side out with only the sides open but it looks weird that way. The wood is too cheap looking. The top even has rounded sides and it looks like the old office furniture. 2) The bottom is also wired and the tray just slides underneath the wire, meaning if you intend for your dog to be directly on the tray, this will not work for you. The tray sits freely underneath the elevated wired bottom on which the dog sits. A dog bed is necessary. 3) A regular 36" crate is about $50-60. This was $170. I don't think this quality of composite wood was worth the extra $120. It does look nice in the room, it's just more cheap than expected up close. ... show more

The package was very heavy which made me believe there were a ton of parts to assemble but that wasn't the case. There were just a few pieces and it was VERY easy! A one man job, for sure. I do wish the instructions would've suggested alternative configurations because I wanted the side door on the opposite end than in the instructions and, thankfully, I thought about that prior to assembling.
