This came pretty well packaged although there does seem to have been a bit of damage in shipping where part of the bike was poked through the cardboard. Doesn't seem to have done any damage though. So far, this seems like it's been a pretty good value for the money. Assembly was about what I thought I was going to be. The instructions could have been a little more clear but if you have a functioning brain, you can figure it out. Most of it seems like it's pretty solid but some of it seems kind of cheap. Definitely cast metal for some parts which is a little concerning, especially for the handlebar mount. Those have a tendency to strip out. Time will tell though. This was delivered this afternoon and when I got home from work, I took everything out of the box and started charging the battery before I did anything. By the time I got it assembled and cut the grass, the battery was charged so I decided to take it for a test ride. Having the small tires and higher center of gravity, it's not quite as stable as I would like it to be but it's not bad. As for the speed, I think it's more than fast enough. Level 3 seems to be the sweet spot for me and will keep me at about 14 mph. Level 5 gets it up to about 20 mph which is getting a bit scary. Lol. It did lose a little bit of speed going up steeper roads but that's to be expected. I weigh about 260 and was surprised that it kept up as well as it did. I put about 7 miles on it tonight and the battery level was dropping to around 75%. Based on that, I think the 35 mile max distance is probably realistic if you're pedaling. I was mostly using throttle only. The one thing that I am a little disappointed about is that the pictures were misleading. Based on the presence of a derailleur, I thought this had multiple gears and that's not the case. To be fair, it doesn't say that anywhere in the advertising but the picture led me to believe otherwise. Because of that, you're pretty much freewheeling if you have the power at anything more than 1 because you can't pedal fast enough to keep up with the motor. So it's basically an e-bike with pedal backup for when the battery dies. It's not necessarily a bad thing though. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty solid deal for the money. I will most definitely update this review if anything changes. So far, I'm pretty happy with it. ... show more
