This is a very neat product, it is fun to be able to put the things together and create all the little miniature items to go in the greenhouse. It is made in China so the directions are not exactly the clearest, however. There are lots of little bags of pieces. The bags have letters and numbers on them so it makes you think that those letters and numbers must relate to the different things you are making, but they don't, so you have to get one piece from this bag, then find the next piece in another bag, etc. I finally just took everything out of the bags and laid all the pieces on a table and would just find them based on what the pictures were showing me. If you can follow the pictures you'll be able to put it together (and it is kinda fun to figure it out on your own!) but it would be challenging for younger children, so I would recommend this for only about 10 and up. Finally, I would recommend having a good pair of scissors that can cut very small pieces and a good pair of needle nose pliers and a wire cutter. I also found having a Dremel tool was helpful as you do have to cut some wood pieces yourself too. I would have given it 5 stars but I think some people may be put off by the unclear directions so that's why I gave it 4 stars.

Gave this to my 15 year old, she loves it. It is very very detailed. As long as you follow the directions you don't need any special talent to assemble this. BUT you do need time & patience. This is well worth the money if you are looking for a good, long project. This will keep you engaged for awhile. Not the type of project that will take a day or two. Super cute. I did notice the glue was visible after drying on the blue drawers, so take care.

this was a gift purchased for an adult who loves puzzles and loves miniaturized things. The previous puzzle/model that I gifted her was complete in less than 24 hours. With this model kit, she has been happily creating, building, assembling for weeks and becomes more and more delighted with the results as she gets closer to completion. I hope this company keeps designing more and more similar products.
