Very nice quality and I like the quilt lining. I usually wear a 2X in a shirt but wanted the coat to fit a little loose over other clothes, so I ordered the 3 X. I haven't worn it outside yet, so I can't comment on the rain protection. It looks like a more expensive trench, which is nice. Things I don't like, but not enough to send it back: The bottom flares out a bit and the sleeves are about an inch longer than should be. I usually wear a size small, but ordered a medium which I'm glad I did. It would be too tight in the shoulder area if I didn't. Might even be a bit too snug if I layer with a sweater. This is surely a Spring coat. I hate driving in a heavy coat so I chose this one that I can wear a sweater under or in warmer weather just wear it over my regular clothes. It is well made and great for the price. One thing I don't like is the belt but that's just me, if it has a buckle I'd like it to buckle without all the extra hanging down, other wise just leave the buckle off, one more thing, the sleeves are very long as you can see in the picture. I ordered a medium and a large, most things I wear medium but this coat I needed a large in order to layer so I canceled the medium. I am 5;4" and weigh 143 pounds and this large fits me well and with a not too heavy sweater it will work fine. ... show more

This coat is comfortable and warm, and is very water resistant. I wore this walking around Paris in a steady/light rain for almost an hour and when I got back to the hotel, the water had penetrated the coat and my shirt underneath was damp. I would say the first 30 min in steady rain was fine, but then the coat started to not be waterproof. ... show more
