This is a good quality farmhouse style chandelier that puts out a good amount of bright as each bulb supports 40 watts. It arrived packaged well although it came in styrofoam. The chandelier is painted a nice dark black that appears to be well done in that it doesn’t scratch easily and should last for the life of the chandelier. I also like that the length of the chain is adjustable so you can easily mount it to exactly the height that you need. Assembly was quick and easy - it comes with the tools that you need the whole chandelier and each of the bulb mounts already come pre-attached - you simply pull them into their appropriate mounts and tighten them. It took all of about fifteen minutes for me to assemble everything. When mounting the chandelier to your electrical source be aware that the wires are not color coded as most electrical appliances come, but they are marked so not a big deal. I consider this a good quality chandelier, especially for the price, so I do recommend it if you want this type of style and nice bright light. ... show more

I really like this chandelier. We had to take all the chain links off because it would hang too low. If you hung it over a kitchen table or an island you would want to use them. This lamp is a simple and elegant addition to any room, but it requires some patience and care to assemble it. The good thing is that it comes with everything you need, including a lot of chain that you can adjust to your desired length. I didn't need nearly as much as was included. You don’t need any instructions, just follow the picture and you can’t go wrong. The downside is that the lamp is made of thin, powder-coated steel that can scratch easily, so be gentle when you handle it. It feels like you are wrestling with a metal octopus as you try to fit the pieces together. The only tool they provide is a small wrench that you will probably discard after you finish. Another issue is that the lamp sockets are plastic and you have to align the bulbs carefully to make them stand upright. The bottom metal part of the lamp also protrudes from the top, which might bother some people. For the price, it's fine, but don't pay too much for it. ... show more

At first I thought it looked cheap, but after putting it together I loved it and my husband loved it too! It has that gothic look that I love. The ssembly directions are garbage... honestly it was easy for me because I consider myself somewhat handy... so I didn't miss the instructions. It does not come with bulbs, but for the price that I got it for honestly I didn't care. I am looking forward to hanging this baby up and I will update the review and add pictures.     • Looks great, but tedious to assemble
I really like the finished product but man, it comes boxed up completely disassembled! It took me longer to assemble it than it did to hang it. I really like the look though, and it comes with the tool to assemble it, so in the end I am pleased. Would recommend, but just be prepared for a lengthy install time. ... show more
