The product was poorly designed the bottom door stop has nothing to mount it to the Frame and pops off most parts hot glued all said and done door makes loud click sounds when it reaches top and bottom scares my ducks and they put stickers on the door that don’t come off ruins finish on the door removing them I will be returning ... show more

The media could not be loaded. this chicken coup door was purchased for my mother whom raises chickens as a newly found hobby. This coup door has been somewhat convenient in the sense that it's great for a novice. it is on a timer and will allow for the release of your chickens as soon as the sun starts to come up.So if you can't get up all that early for any reason or just not a fan of the cold before you had your coffee this is perfect for you. We were both a bit suspicious about it closing on the chickens in the evening when they come in to roost but if the door senses anything under it , and will stop. If it feels any resistance it will stop. We both field tested this item for safety before use. No additional wiring is required, you need only install the door and choose an option for how you want to operate. Recommend you plug into a power source however it does have the option of batteries too as a backup in case that particular powers source fails for any reason. Also this particular device is made for extreme weather wich is something you definitely want if you live in my region! ... show more
