This tripod truly is under priced, I hunt multiple days/nights a week and this tripod has been the best thing I’ve purchased. Quality is the same if not better as competitors whose tripods cost triple of this one. The quick release mount is awesome and super easy to make adjustment to fit whatever arca plate you decide to go with. The ball head is one of the best features. With a simple throw of a lever you can quickly lock down or release tension to be able to make adjustments to your shot. The legs are super heavy duty even when fully extended. If you’re looking for a carbon fiber tripod, I highly recommend this one!

I have only had this tripod one day, and have not used it yet, so these are initial impressions of the product and the packaging. First, there are a bewildering array of tripods available from Fanaue. It is difficult to discern the differences between the various models, as the specifications are not expressed consistently in various Amazon product listings, and like wise for the Fanaue website. For example, what's the diameter of the leg segments? Indeed, the one I bought from Amazon, the 3630-65 does not even appear on the Fanaue website. I took a chance, give the photo illustrations and the price. Granted, it appears the same photos are used for many variations of products, but I took the chance, nonetheless. Before purchase I asked the question "does the camera adapter for the Arc-Swiss mount come with it. It was answered in the affirmative, yet it did not. So, I received a brand new tripod onto which I could mount - nothing! It turns out one can purchase compatible camera mounts, i.e., a "quick release plate," fairly inexpensively, yet you, of course, must wait for it. I ordered a two-pack for $10, and a different one, a four pack, for $16. We'll see which ones work best. The packaging is nice and robust, but nothing at all is included except the tripod; no documentation, no warranty card, nothing, except a small zip lock bag with two screws and two Allen wrenches. I don't know what they are for. Now, for the tripod. This thing is really made! As another reviewer stated, 'it's a beast.' It's not overly heavy, but it's very sturdy and solid. I like the utter simplicity of it, and I imagine it will last forever. The ball head does not appear t be removable, which is fine with me. It locks quickly and solidly and doesn't slip. The leg tubes are nicely made carbon fiber. The leg locking collets work well, with only a partial twist to lock and unlock. The rubber feet screw in to expose steel spikes for outdoor use. There's a button at the top of each leg joint that allows selection of 20º, 45º, and about 170º, so you can get all the way down to the ground and still have a solid support. The Acc-Swiss (original or compatible clone?) is nicely made, apparently CNC machined aluminum with a heavy anodized finish. It took a while to figure out how to adjust it, and I figured it out, only to notice the video that accompanies the product listing that explains it well. Oh, yes, three leg sections. I really like it. I wish there was a convenient way of attaching a should strap, and a strap to bind the legs. I think this will fit my needs, including not just a DSLR, but my fairly heavy spotting scope. Four stars instead of five for the lack of an included quick release plate for a camera, and lack of docs and warranty statement. I will try to update this review after I have some experience with it.

Man I've been running a big pod with a ball head. I've hunted with several guys using $700 plus pods. This thing kicks ass! It's just as good as any of those at a fraction of the cost. I went ahead and added the clamp head. I was not disappointed.

I ordered this tripod expecting a new product, but the unit I received had noticeable scratches and wear on the ARCA mount and several marks on the carbon fiber legs. I exchanged it for another unit and unfortunately the second one also had visible scratches and cosmetic wear around the mounting area and leg sections. The tripod design itself is solid and the load capacity rating is impressive, but receiving two units with visible wear raises concerns about quality control and finishing before shipment. If you purchase this tripod, I recommend inspecting the ARCA mount, ball head base, and leg sections carefully when it arrives to ensure the condition meets expectations for a new item.
