I decided to try a set of plates with the “new” design… with “sides”. I have been using traditional style plates for years. Here’s where the differences are: 1- I love the look and design of the plates and bowls… very neutral in color and functional. 2- the plates of this set do not “stack” like typical plates, thus they have a wobbly look when stacked…. Sturdy, yes, but they do not stack like flat plates. 3- I love the lip on the plates… that’s what gives them a great look, however I have to lift the plates by the lip to get them out of their stack…. Takes some getting used to. Also, I cannot get my fingers under the plate to lift it off a counter, so I have to slide the plate from the counter top to the counter edge to remove it… learning to be careful of drops and spills. It just requires some “getting used to” a different style. I love the style, quality and price! So reasonable. And I love that this set came without cups or mugs! I have millions already!

The media could not be loaded. I wish they were more pure white, and not so speckled. I did know they were speckled from other review photos as well as the product photos, but I was surprised at HOW speckled they were. A little bummed but will keep them. Love how they stack “messy” (a nice organic look) and I think I’ll get used to the speckled. I guess it makes them look more hand-thrown and pottery-like, which is the look I was going for. I was just surprised! ❤️

I purchased 2 sets back in August of 2023. I was in the process of moving so I left them packed up until the very end of September. I opened the boxes and everything arrived in perfect condition. I absolutely love these dishes, BUT…. within 2 weeks of light use, 1 plate had chipped. And that just continued. At this point, I have at least 6 pieces that are all chipped in the same way. For reference, it’s just my husband and me who live in the house and use them. Im disappointed and annoyed. Ill be throwing away the entire set, service for eight along with 8 dinner bowls. It was a complete waste of money. I was contacted by Famiware and offered a replacement set of dishes. Their good faith and excellent customer service was unexpected and I was quite impressed. The new set of dishes so far have held up beautifully with no chipping. I do love this set so Im hoping that my previous experience was perhaps a defective set of dishes and that moving forward I will have this set for a long time.

Purchased these for my mom for Mother’s Day a year ago and they are holding up great. No broken bowls or plates yet. They are a great size and she loves them! Bowls were a little bit smaller than expected but still work great!
