These have an irregular design on purpose to give a handmade feel to them. I find this very interesting, and they are enjoyable to use. I like the blue color and I've used them in the microwave and put them in the dishwasher without any issues. They have a good amount of weight to them; they don't feel cheap at all. The irregular design is quite pronounced, so be aware of that, if you want perfectly symmetrical and uniform dishes, these will not be for you, but if you want something with some charm that look like they were made by hand then these could be a nice option... after all the food you put on the plates is almost never going to be perfectly uniform anyway, so why should the plate be?

These do have a slightly funky irregular shape per plates (not really with the bowls) and their own personality. My wife was hosting a breakfast for dinner party for some friends the day these came in and she used them for Ube Pancakes, Eggs, and some cereal in the bowls on the side with Mimosa's and people loved the plates (and the food also). It was great to serve on and eat from. If you don't mind irregular shape bowls and think they are fun, this is a great set. If you prefer your plates are uniform, or not stoneware...I don't suggest this set. We love stoneware sets at the house so this set made us happy.

I already have some Corningware style dishes that I think are decades old but they all have a flat concave. These have an indenture (the smaller circle within the larger one) that helps avoid the temptation to pile up too much food on the plate, and that's what I wanted. the color is nice, but I don't really care for the faux rustic design in the sense that the circles are not perfectly round. They arrived in packaging which was very secure; there were no breaks or chips. They've been put in the microwave and the dishwasher without any ill effect. The bowls are a good capacity too; they hold as much as some wider bowls I had been using.

You get 4 larger plates, 4 smaller plates and 4 small bowls. I love the color and irregular design. They all feel heavy and durable. The little bowls surprised me. I was able to put one serving of spaghetti in it. I put a little bit of au jus gravy over the chopped steak. I don’t know what it’s called, but the circular ridges in the center of the plate helped hold the gravy and provided some protection against the gravy spilling. The larger plate has the chopped steak dinner, the smaller plate has the pistachios and the bowl has the spaghetti. I would recommend buying this set if you are looking for some dinnerware.

I did not realize how asymmetrical this dinnerware was. I have some ruffled edge serving ware but they never looked this asymmetrical. I think it looks like someone really messed up. It did well in the dishwasher and is a decent size. I really cannot get over how uneven and off they look. You have to be really into that type of look, and I am not.

I got these dishes to replace some boring white ones that I had for years. These ones are beautiful. They have a really beautiful glaze that didn't have any blemishes or scratches. The design is meant to be rustic, so each dish is unique. I've had no problem putting them through the dishwasher, but I haven't microwaved one yet.

The Famiware Aurora plates and bowls are definitely good quality and the heft of the plates shows you that right off. They are packed well so no worries about broken things no matter how reckless your carrier gets. The colors are beautiful and great for a summertime setting and gives you the feel of an island place. The gloss is wonderful and really enhances the colors of the plates and bowls. I was expecting cups since cups always seem to come in dinnerware sets, but I was remiss in reading the full description. Still a great set but matching cups would have been really great with this beautiful set. I still give it 5 stars since you get exactly what is described.

This is such a nice set of dishes. The plates are not 100% round, but have almost a hand-made feel. The glaze is much prettier in person than in pictures. I chose the gray (even though I thought the blue pictures was nicer) and I am glad I got the gray, it will match any decor and color scheme. These were packaged very, very well and nothing was broken. The plates are standard 8" size and the bowls are a really nice depth. The bottom of the plates are a bit rough, so should be used with a placemat if you have a nice wood table. I typically do use placemats anyway but just wanted to mention, be sure to check the bottoms just in case. These dishes are nice and classy.
