This is my second knife set in my entire life. I’m not an expert about knives. But these mother-fs are sharp. Like, it can cut a thick bagel in 1-2 strokes sharp. They are damn good looking, too. I don’t expect them to last 10 years but If I take care of them they can last for a good while. I’m sure these aren’t big name brands but I don’t think it needs to be. I just got them yesterday so I can’t say how they chop meat and veggies just yet and when I do, I’ll come back to update. For now, it’s good for bread haha Update: They are great for chopping meat and veggies and slices through a cantaloupe like nothing. I’m super pissed though because I realized a crack in the handle where it and the blade actually meet. I take good care of these suckers and found it. I hope this thing has a warranty because that’s crazy how I take super good care of them, never let them soak in water and dry immediately after washing them only for this to happen to the chef’s knife. All the others are fine for now but I worry because they are sharp and the last thing I need is to lose my fingers. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have been using this knife set for about 2 weeks now and all i can say is that is a great product. It is not a fancy set of knives but it is really useful and sharp out of the box. About some comments saying that their knives had rust is because they do not take care of their knives properly. You must wash and dry the knife after every use. Ive had expensive knives that rusted because i did not care properly. In the instructions manual they explain how to take care of the knife. The santoku knife came with a slight chip/jaggedness on the blade. I have not used it all. Other than this problem though, all the other knives seem to be in excellent condition and are very sharp.

After having these knives for 9 months and using them 3 or 4 times a week, they are still sharp. There are small rust spots from sitting out overnight un-oiled after being washed but that’s to be expected with non-stainless steels. These knives have no issue cutting through pork or chicken bone and mostly frozen meat, anything softer than that might as well be butter. I suspect within the next few months I will have to sharpen or at the very least hone them. ... show more
