I am new and don't know too much about different skins. What I do know is that for the money. These skins are worth it. Most will tell us to get the more expensive kinds not sold on Amazon. However, this skin is great for beginners who will probably use so many in a quick amount of time. It took the ink well. I used these all the way up to actual skin. And my work turned out great. It doesn't stretch very much as you would like. But again...for the money. Worth it. FYI if you get too close to the edge while tatting. It will scare you when it vibrates like crazy. Always be sure to get a good 3 pull finger placement down when getting to the edge.

First impressions are horrid. I normally use a sharpie to mark location of stencils. Other materials I have used let's you wipe it right off. This stuff stains super easy. It also has two different sides, one smooth and one textured.
