We needed a large gate to contain our new puppy in the kitchen. When I realized I didn’t measure correctly they sent me an extension piece for free which came in within a few days. It’s a nice gate. It’s not as sturdy as one you would drill into the wall but it’s pretty sturdy for a pressure mount and enough to contain all three of my dogs . I also bought the “Wall nanny” to further protect my wall.

It only took us thirty minutes to put together and install. The instructions gave us headaches so we just figured it out on our own. I still give it four stars because it's sturdy enough, and it serves it's purpose which is to keep our baby safe. The size is also a plus! There were very few options for gates with this length (84 + inches).

We needed to fence off a 61" wide opening to keep our two medium-sized dogs out of our living room. This gate appealed to me because it can be installed without screwing it into the wall, i.e., it's pressure-mounted. I was very pleased with the overall construction. It's sturdy and made of quality material with a nice finish. The assembly was straight-forward and mounting didn't require any tools since the hardware has knurled knobs for making the final adjustments. The seller included some additional, larger wall protectors for free that help minimize the potential for impressions and marks on the walls. The latch is easy to operate, and the gate auto closes unless you intentionally move it to the full propped open position. Once installed, the overall assembly is stout enough to contain our sometimes very excitable furry friends. My one negative is the design of the attachment for the extensions that were necessary for this gate to span 61 inches. They simply push on guided by 2 pins, which is easy enough, but there is nothing to affix them to the center gate. Although this works fine once the gate is installed, it makes it very difficult for one person to lift and install the gate while trying to keep the extensions on the pins. Unless you have 4 hands, you will need a helper to do the installation when using the extensions. If the manufacturer had included a method to fasten the extensions to the center gate, I would have given this 5 stars.

Find yall another gate. This thing depending on size is straight up junk. I’ve had multiple people help me with this gate and every time the baby pulls on it tugs on it it’ll fly right off the wall every time even after needing an army to put it up.

Our 15 almost 16 month old had outgrown her playpen and was trying and almost succeeding in escaping her large playpen. it was time to give her some more room to play and we researched and looked for a few weeks before ultimately biting the bullet and buying this one. When the item first arrived I was worried as the box sustained some damage in transit, however upon close inspection nothing was damaged and all the parts were there. The instructions were generic and obviously for a wide variety of sizes and configurations and not just the size I ordered. I was sure we were missing a piece due to looking at the instructions however when putting it together I realized that I indeed had everything and installation went smoothly except I did put one section in the wrong spot which luckily it doesn't affect the integrity. If you're not good with figuring things out and troubleshooting then this could be an issue due to the generic instructions however it was pretty self explanatory once I started piecing things together. Our opening was exactly 84.5 inches which this gate advertises as fitting but I decided to buy wall protective mounts to place the tension rods in to add a few extra centimeters on either side for a more snug fit. I am so glad I did! With such a large opening I did use the sticker floor mounts provided and placed them staggered on each side of the gate mounting them on either side of the metal seem attachments/guards as they slid all around without doing so. Additionally the floor stickers provided much needed support for the large opening on the floor and luckily we have hardwood floors so they would adhere. I really dont see how this large of a gate would have worked over carpet.

This baby gate is okay. First of all is was very frustrating that it didn’t come with directions. I saw there was some directions on the Amazon page but they really didn’t help me. Set up took 2 people and it took about an hour for us to figure out how to put it together without directions. I had to watch a bunch of YouTube videos. Now its up and it a bit wobbly. If I make it any tighter on the walls the door won’t open or close. It was a lot of money for a wobbly gate. I hope my son can’t pull it down. Right now it is now mounted to the wall it’s just put up with pressure but I will be mounting it in the future. Maybe that makes a difference.
