I didn't know I needed this toaster. A digital toaster with a touch screen? But I quickly fell in love with it. It produced a perfectly, evenly toasted bagel with delectable texture! I was surprised and pleased. I love how you choose your shade of toast and choose toast or bagel, then watch it count down the seconds on the digital screen. Don't be fooled into thinking the digital screen is too much to "navigate." It's totally easy to use. Most of the buttons are for selecting the level of darkness you desire in your toast or bagel. Another button adds 10-second increments (up to 30), yet another reheats your bread when it needs warming up, or press the cancel button to end a function. Of course, you have the power button as well. At first, I thought this type of toaster would be a ridiculous waste of time to learn and use, but it's easy and performs well. The instruction manual is well written and illustrated. Use it once or twice and you've got this down pat. I like the slightly wider openings, which I measured at 1-3/4" compared to my "analog" (AKA "old") toaster at 1-1/4". So that fat Texas toast or well-endowed bagel will easily fit in the toaster slot without knocking off all those precious poppy and sesame seeds or "everything" seasonings. You can use the defrost mode to defrost frozen bread, waffles, pancakes, French toast, and more, then in the same function mode it'll toast your goodies as well. I love that because I don't have to first defrost in the microwave, then shift my bread to the toaster anymore. The toaster itself is just slightly wider than my old model so I can store it in the same counter space. This toaster has a pull-out crumb tray (instead of the ones that drop down where you better be doing it over a garbage can!). This could be that unique gift for that special occasion or the holidays. It's a keeper for me! I hope this review helps you with your decisions.

Yes, underneath it all toaster is a toaster. But I’m a geek and I love the touchscreen that controls the darkness of the toast. I have found the touchscreen to be very accurate. It could not be any easier to figure out how to use it. Think of a Tesla that makes toast. Tap the icon that represents the color toast you want, lower the lever, and the toaster will give you a numeric countdown until the toast pops up. Before my coffee in the am, this is actually pretty exciting for me.

This toaster looks fancy and complicated but it’s quite the opposite- it is sleek and looks nice, but it’s ridiculously simple to run. There are 6 toasting options, as well as a button for adding time, to reheat (amen), defrost, bagels, and to cancel. The buttons aren’t actually buttons- this is just a touch sensor so you could maybe even sneeze and get it to turn itself on. So far my toast is toasting and all is right in the house as we eat and run weekday mornings. Each toast option actually shows you in seconds how long this process is going to take- love this option for all us ‘80s kids who used to do all our chores during commercial breaks. The level 6 toast is 160 seconds, btw. It will also give you a nice 3-second countdown “beep” right before the toast pops up. In my pictures I showcase the toasting options. The two pictures are of the same pieces of toast, but with each piece of bread flipped over. I noticed the bread side facing outward in the toaster corresponds more closely with what I would consider the toasting levels to be, while the side facing inward got a little more toasty. I am taking 1 star off due to this inconsistency. One recommendation to ALL toaster manufacturers out there: Can you please please PLEASE offer a volume option? I had hoped this one was different (don’t we all?), but it is like every post-1999 toaster that wants to scream at you as if you are not across the kitchen but ACROSS THE STREET to tell you COME BACK… YOUR TOAST IS READY!!!!!! Can’t fault this toaster for its loud beep, but I will inquire next time before clicking “buy”.

While a simple toaster does the job just fine, we wanted something a little nicer so we could feel good about displaying it on the counter top- we use the toaster multiple times a day so it was silly putting it away in a cabinet repeatedly. This one hits all the marks- it's a great size and looks nice, the custom settings and touchscreen are a lot of fun {especially for my kids}, and I really appreciate the countdown timer on it which helps me to know how much time I have to get other things done in the kitchen while my toast is, well, toasting. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent toaster. Heats up super fast and gets very hot. Replaced an older Krups toaster that i had which was underpowered in my opinion so you had to set it to the darkest setting to get decent browning. This thing is quite the opposite with great toast even at the 2nd to lowest setting. Everything browns evenly and toasts fast. The touch screen is a little gimmicky but works very well and definitely looks cool. Overall, amazing little toaster.
