The main appeal of this product is its USB-C compatibility, which allows you to power your Sony camera from any USB-C source—whether that’s a power bank, charger, or even a laptop. This flexibility gives it a clear advantage over traditional AC-powered dummy batteries, which require you to stay plugged into a power outlet. I’ve used it for extended video shoots and time-lapse photography, and it worked flawlessly, keeping my camera running for hours without any interruptions or power warnings. The dummy battery itself fits snugly in my camera, and I had no connection issues or error messages. I had been looking for a dummy battery for my a6000 so I could use external battery packs and be able to shoot longer without constantly switching batteries. This worked great for what I needed. It worked well in my camera so would be compatible with newer alpha models using this battery size and seems like it's made with good quality materials that will keep working for a long time.

I got this battery adapter to start doing time lapse on my A6400, and this battery worked like a charm. It fit my camera, great value for money, it expanded my battery life for as long as i needed it, and there was no compatibility issues. Overall, this was a great product!
