Description

One of the most common measuring jobs I face in my shop is finding the center of a board. Getting that mark dead-on-center is critical for mounting boards, attaching hardware, and drilling pilot holes for joinery. That’s why I created the EZ Center Stick. It’s a very simple and easy-to-use tool for marking the exact center of just about any size board you might use in a project. I won’t try to explain the math behind the magic, but the results provide you a perfectly-centered mark across the width of any size board

    • Really easy to use once you get the hang of it
This little thingy is really great for finding the centers of boards quickly - the downside is it doesn't reach all the way to the end of the board - one needs to get the square out to finish the line - but overall it is awesome and good value for quick markups

    • Make a series of dots keeping the device secure. Then connect the dots with a ruler. PERFECT !
Just make a series of dots instead of scribing to hold the device secure. Then use a straight edge to connect the dots. I found that any off motion of my hand while scribing threw the line off. Better to just connect the dots. Then it's PERFECT !

Thought for $10 I would give it a try. Didn't take me long to figure out I had wasted my money. Main problem to me is holding pencil in place to make contact with wood surface while trying to keep tool location on the wood. Just thought if this worked could same me some time but actually took longer than just using tape measure or carpenter square. Reason for (1) star was the piece that has depth measurements actually good, rest is useless. ... show more
