This is a solidly made frame, and once installed, it fits well and looks nice. A couple of things to consider....if you are not handy with tools, get someone else to do it. The sheet metal screws that are supplied to hold the inside box to the outside frames are crap. They should use a bolt and nut setup instead...which is what I ended up doing. The door flap is a bit stiff and takes some time for the dog to get used to. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it. ... show more

Thought this was going to be a great dog door for our home but it sure didn’t last. The flaps are not flexible in the cold and they cracked and broke off. New flaps on order and a shelter has been built around the door outside to try to stop this from happening again. Not the best design, but it works. Mine arrived malformed, but I was able to reform it. The frame is easy to warp, before it is installed. The tunnel is too long for most walls, so be ready to cut it to fit. The instructions are poorly written and the numbering for the steps in the set for the tunnel don't match the numbering for the doors. I'd also recommend lining the tunnel with carpet or something to insulate it, since it absorbs heat or cold. The door is difficult to keep centered, so if your frame is slightly warped, it may not be easy to open and close if you don't reform it perfectly to keep the doors straight when installed. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Small dog and there should be no reason one year in we are having the issue. The inside panel came completely detached 6 months ago and now exterior panel is falling off. Poor design at high cost.

My brother installed this door in the wall for me. I thought it was a telescoping tunnel, but it is not. Right after I out it in my Treeing Walker Coonhound really enjoyed using it. He would go in and out all day. It worked great until the temperature dropped to the teens which it regularly does in the winter where I live. The outside flap broke when my dog went through and I had to remove it. Before that happened I noticed that there was quite a lot of air leaking in around the door. Previous dog doors had gaskets around them to reduce the air leaks, but this does not. I think this would be a good dog door for people who live in warmer climates that don't have to worry about the flaps freezing and cracking. I am currently looking for a dog door that is made for my climate. ... show more
