This thing is a simple tool a two piece handle that opens up to insert a double sided razor blade that is held in place magnetically. That being said it is an essential tool for making cool designs on your loaves of sourdough. It’s small and easy to clean, the razor is sharp and the fact that you slide the razor in and out allows for you to gauge the depths of your scoring better than the standard lame on a stick. The included guidebook is nice as well and actually has a QR code that takes you to videos of each pattern to show you how to make them on your loaves.

This little guy is so handy and makes the perfect cuts in dough! Love the little book that comes with it as well to give you decorative ideas! Also like that it's magnetic and you can put on the fridge for easy use.

This device is easy to use and is easy to store because the blade goes back into the pocket so you don’t have to worry about getting cut. The razor blade is easy To replace.

I like that the blades are replaceable and are protected by the plastic housing of this holder but they are somewhat difficult to slide out for use. The blade slides in much easier than it slides out. The magnetic feature is nice. I keep it on the side of the fridge and out of the drawers where someone may accidentally cut themselves on it.

It was easy to put the blade into the holder. Sliding the blade out of the end of the holder to score my bread initially took a little more umph from my thumb, but once I figured it out it was simple to do. I was able to make interesting score marks on the dough and the baked bread looked great. I would by this again, and will get a couple to give as gifts.

I have been looking for a quality lame forever. I’ve gone through at least two or three of them with very mixed and disappointing results. This lame is easy to use. It fits well in the hand and it scores beautifully because I can control it well. I’m very pleased. I highly recommend it. It is also very economical. A++

I wish it worked out for me. The color is great, its lightweight and easy to install. However I had so much trouble getting it to slide in and out. The idea is great but wish it had something I can use to easily slide it in and out. Customer service is top notch. They really made effort to try to help me make use of it but ultimately it just didn't work for me. 2 influencers I love watching use it in all their bread videos and htey make it look so easy so it coudl be me. 1 star for the idea itself and it seems like a solid sturdy item and 2 stars for the customer service. I may give it antoher try if I cannot find something comparable.

I like the fact that you can store the razor blade safely inside the holder. The magnets are strong to hold the blade in place, but not so strong that it makes it hard to open. The blade is held securely and does not slip when you’re scoring the dough. I was able to make small delicate cuts as well as deeper cuts with ease. I liked it so much, I bought one for my daughter!
