I've had other router or CNC bits from this brand before, and they're all good so far. This one is an end mill, and is great for routing slots or mortises. The cutting length is only an inch, so you're limited to that depth of cut. It's made from solid (tungsten) carbide, so it's really strong and durable, that's what they use to tip circular wood cutting saws. It has a 1/4" shank, so naturally you're either going to need a collet on a larger router, or will need to use the smaller 1/4" one. It makes clean cuts, and the price is pretty low for what it is. To be fair, I've only used two of the four so far, but results have been excellent. I do have a couple other bits from SICWOOD and despite the silly name, the product is good.

I was using this bit to router out the diameter of some hardwood bowls. I needed this bit for the long length of it, as my bowls are 3½" tall. Immediately the bit started to chatter. I adjusted the RPM's, but that didn't help. I was using a plunge router, which in the specs it says this bit is ok for use in CNC and handheld routers. This was even one of the more expensive ones that I found as well. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the next day delivery, but that is thanks to Amazon. ... show more

I use these as engraving and carving bits for wood signs. Generally I'm using them in Cedar, Fir, Pine and occasionally other harder woods. These cut on par with other similar bits. The 15 and 60 see the most use and these have not been wearing at any greater rate then any others I've sourced from the Asian market.
