I have owned this board for 6 months and like the large size, groove and solid weight. When received, there was a minor defect with small notch cut into one corner of the groove (see photo). It wasn't a deal killer and I was happy to retain and use the board. Today, as I was oiling the board, however, a much more serious problem became apparent. A layer of the bamboo laminate near the cutting surface showed a crack (see photo) that suggests a separation between layers of bamboo. I'm in public health and worry that this crack may harbor food juices and bacteria despite best efforts at cleaning. It essentially makes this cutting board worse than useless, in my opinion. I've taken great care of this board: handwash only, regular oiling followed by application of cutting board wax. One other aspect to be aware of is the rough particles of bamboo that are shed by the board which may just be the nature of bamboo cutting boards perhaps. Updated and revised (March 1, 2018): Rating changed from 1 star to 5 stars for customer service experience In response to the review, I received a communication from Sharon at SoulFino who dispatched a replacement cutting board which I received today. It arrived in good condition with no visible defects. Based on how I liked the product and the outstanding customer service, I would feel confident in purchasing from this vendor again. I'm hopeful that the defect I experienced was not typical, and am confident that they will stand by their products.

A beautiful cutting board. It feels "clean" - beautiful design, great finish & good weight. ...and no warping! The pictures really don't do it justice - as good as it looks on paper, it's even nicer in person. The design isn't busy or "cartoonish" like some we'd looked into. The juice channel is smoothly cut, definitely not the rough, "late addition" feel that some other boards have. Hand-holds on each end are cut well and perfectly placed, good utility without feeling like an afterthought. But, as nice as this board is, the Seller's Customer Service blew us away. Must admit here that our current board is a replacement. We sent the first one back because of some excess glue spots on the underside - a problem that we later learned is not at all typical for this brand. (Suppose even the great ones have a bad day, now & then) Upon noticing our return, SoulFino made contact and, unlike some other vendors on Amazon, they actually wanted to understand the problem we'd experienced (ie: not just for their record keeping). After several emails, they decided to send a replacement board - we are so glad they did. Finding a quality cutting board at a good price is a more difficult task than you might think. We rarely give 5-star reviews, particularly when there's been any issue. The Seller is a class act with a fantastic product.

I have to admit it until now I've been using plastic cutting boards. A couple of weeks ago, I had friends and family for a holiday dinner, and a Biologist explained to me how unsanitary plastic boards are. Apparently, bacteria prefers to live in plastic surfaces than in wood. The next day, I started my research for a good quality and affordable cutting board and found this beautiful model by Soulfino. I had already purchased salt and pepper grinders from this brand and decided to see if the quality of all their products was the same....and they are! When my husband opened the package, he told me "Wow, this is a cutting board for life". This Cutting Board is large and thick enough to give me a sturdy surface when cutting meats and crusty loaves of bread. I also love the fact that you can use it to serve your roast because is so gorgeous and elegant. Something of this quality will cost you around $150 in Williams Sonoma. Perfect for a holiday gift!!!

I am sooo impressed with this cutting board! I have ordered it as a wedding gift to my friends, but when it arrived I decided to keep it for myself! It is definitely the best cutting bamboo board I have seen and used so far, and doesn't compare to other boards I've seen in the homegood stores. It looks and feels sturdy, sleek, and contemporary, with a nice big size, and thickness. Even though I like to keep my counter clean, this cutting board deserved its center place on the counter and has already become a natural part of my kitchen. It is constantly in use in our house, for pretty much all our meal preparations throughout the entire day. It is in particular great for those who like to host with style, serving and arranging cheeses, fruits, or meats/fishes. This board is a keeper, deserves my 5+ stars and highly recommended!

I had wanted a new cutting board for sometime and did my research. I spent more time than I probably should have researching them and looking at different sizes and wood types. I finally pulled the trigger on this one and am pretty happy. The quality and look is great. I've been using it for a few weeks now with daily use and it's held up really well. I hardly see the cut marks on it and the wood is still beautiful. I'm hoping with regular oiling this thing will last a long time. The only thing I think they could improve would be to sand all the edges on this board. The juice grooves have a sharp angle which when you run your finger over when washing or moving can be a little abrasive. A light tough of sand papper will help which I plan to do at the juice groove and then it will be even better.
