Beautiful boards especially for the cost. I got the dark brown and they look gorgeous. Perfect for setting up some charcuterie and presenting to guests on the medium board. Small board is great for girl dinner, and large board is the perfect size for slicing up some meat or veggies. They’re super durable since they are made of carbonized bamboo. Dishwasher safe or hand wash, with little groves for grip on the two sides, plus a little grooved reservoir so juices from whatever you’re cutting don’t spill over the board on the the counter or your carpet. If you are thinking about purchasing this product I will give you some helpful advice on how to evaluate previous reviews to determine if this is the right cutting board (set) for you. Sort them by rating high to low. Once you have done this you will be looking at a list of how people take care of their kitchen items from "very careful" to "it should just work without maintenance". If you own knives you probably understand that they aren't just always going to be sharp. Cutting on certain surfaces will dull them. Using a knife block can dull them. They require sharpening and care. Sure some will last longer and keep their edge better due to their quality, but you need to care about what you own and put in some effort at keeping your items in good shape so they will do what you purchased them for. The reason I say all of this is because I purchased these expecting all sorts of problems. I expected splinters and separation of the bamboo pieces. Know what I found? A decent quality cutting board that requires a certain level of care to keep in good shape. While I think it is possible that a few bad ones left the factory, the number of problems people are having with these lead me to believe that they aren't being oiled and/or they are being submerged and allowed to absorb water. I'm not going to say this is the finest cutting board on the market, but I do think that a lot of the hate is misplaced. I have now been using these for a couple of weeks and they have performed flawlessly. I really think that this is a solid 4 star set. Is it easy to clean? Well it is wood so no it isn't as easy to clean as glass. Is it sturdy? Again, it is made up of pieces of bamboo so it probably isn't as sturdy as a solid board would be. Craftsmanship? I don't think this was made by a craftsman who cares what he is shipping out the door. I haven't experienced splintering so far and it feels well made but it is a mass produced product so I don't think it earns 5 stars there either. Ultimately this is a good set that presents an incredible value if you are in the market for bamboo boards. I cook for my family at home and I plan on taking care of these so they will serve me well. It comes with care instructions and everyone who purchases these would be well served by reading them. I doubt they will win any awards or be used in any top kitchens around the world, but they are a good set and a great value. ... show more

Great boards. Though, they stain just like any other boards so you can't let stuff sit. And if you have a wife that drinks and smokes while you're cooking, you can't let her rest her cigarettes on the board either, that's a no-no, and why I'm purchasing a new set.

I had switched over from plastic cutting boards to wood. These have been great over the last several months and very durable. At first they were shedding, but that has seemed to stop. The thickness is perfect. I just clean with dawn soap and water. I haven’t oiled them, but I know I should. No warping and I only hand wash. No dishwasher for me. So far they are great! ... show more
