My dogs chewed through the wood to the insulation in less than a month, even when I coated the whole thing with bitter/sour no chew spray. The top middle support inside had no protective metal, so it was the first to go. If your dog is considered a super chewer, don’t bother spending so much money.

We’ve had this dog house for almost 2 months and we are very impressed with it. I have a 1 1/2 year old Border Collie that loves to chew on stuff. This dog house had been great for him. He did finally chew the little window/door off just recently. And he has chewed on the plastic curtain that is at the entrance but I expected that. It also stays about 10 degrees warmer inside the doghouse. Which is great also. I would recommend it. ... show more

Bought this thinking as much money as it cost it should last. I have a two year old Lab. 24 hours later and he chewed through one side already. The outside layer of wood is much thicker than inside. Which is not very thick at all. I know Labs like to chew, but thought it would last longer than it did. In my opinion save your money and spend it on something else. ... show more
