Previously we had supported the mat by hand, but as our designs get more complicated, it has become a tedious task. This tray was designed to fix that problem. We found it especially useful when cutting intricate paper designs as those would lift and tear when bent. As above, this is such a quick, elegant solution to a dumb problem. It's so smart, in fact, that I 100% believe Cricut should include a piece like this with their machines. The media could not be loaded. This works great! Does exactly what it’s supposed to by keeping my project flat while it’s being cut, and snaps on and off the machine in a second. It also disassembles super easily and fits in the storage tray.

It works perfect for the Cricut 12x12 mats. However it doesn’t not support the 12x24. So I took both parts and kind of putted them together with a cable tie and now I can use it with my 12x24 mats and I’m satisfied with the results.
