I wanted to like this item, but it's just not practical as a phone holder. I was looking for something to hold my phone vertical or horizontal while using it. This looked like a novel solution. However, it's unusable for this purpose. Groot's arms are a little uneven. If you try holding your phone vertically, the tilt is very noticeable. The hands are hard plastic, so the phone slips easily. That, combined with the tilt, will cause the phone to fall if you try using it. Also, in the vertical position, the phone itself doesn't lean back very far, making another stability issue. Horizontal is a little bit better, but the phone is still tilted and slides around. You can use it to hold the phone while charging, but that's about it. Sorry Groot, you're going back! ... show more

Well there is a big dent in his forehead that is noticeable, but I really like the stand and GROOT. I do not want to go through the return and reorder process. So I decided to keep it!!
