Description

Nintendo first dabbled in video games during the industry's early years of the mid-'70s. Generations of successful gaming console releases through the years led to the much-hyped 1996 launch of Nintendo 64, a system that represented a giant evolutionary leap in video game technology. Within the first three days of launch, hundreds of thousands of gamers hunkered down with Mario 64, considered by many one of the greatest video games ever created. Even today, the system's excellent design continues to host an ever-expanding library of breakthrough games.

  • Immaculate condition!
The N64 I received is in near brand new condition, it appears to be an NUS-CPU-02 which is a 1996 Japanese console, it is perfect for easy RGB modding as later revisions have made it much harder to do. I couldn’t be any more happy with this!

  • Most importantly....The Game Console Worked?!?! :D
I forgot the "Seller's name" / "Seller's company name" ....(Sorry) but anywho....the game console WORKS! I was thoroughly surprised, glad and excited. HOWEVER....It did not work the first time. I had to switch to another game to see if the game cartridge was the issue, and I think it was. I did come into an issue with the audio/visual cable that was received.(I don't think it worked).... But I was lucky enough to borrow a new one from a friend (who bought an audio/visual cable from Gamestop a long time ago that had all Nintendo port cable connectors)....That seemed to do the trick and allowed us to see and hear the game....which then allowed me to confirm that the console itself worked! This includes the Controllers that were given (as part of the bundle.) I did not at all try out the "2 free games" that was given (as part of the bundle) ...so I do not know if they work for I tried out 2 other games that I bought from other sellers... (hopefully that makes sense, you may have to read that slowly or re-read it..... :D) I think the Seller's name was "Eric"? something.....(Too lazy to look it up or check...sorry) Anyways, I would do business with them again even with those issues, and I would recommend them. Thank you very much! ... show more

  • unprofessional and a rip off
I bought this product a couple month prior to use as a birthday gift. My girl friend was so excited when she saw it. But I was unable to get it to work with any of the tv's we had, including one older model. I thought it may be due to compatibility issues, so I went to the goodwell and bought another older tv. The product would turn on but it still wouldn't work with the new tv. I tested the tv and it worked fine with other systems, and an antenna. So I contacted the seller. This is what I got in response "Im really sorry that the item is not working out for you but i know that the system was working 100% fine before it was shipped to you if you woild have requested a refund i would have been able to possibly help you but unfortunately you are outside of the return policy at this time therefore i cant really help you out im so sorry for that " So I wrote him back explaining that it was a present and hadn't been used. I also asked for any advice in how to repair it if he would not take it back. I never received another response. Though I can see how it may have been damaged during shipping, due to the fact that it was sent wrapped in news paper in an old beat up shoe box taped together. Personally I found that " DawgFrankDizzl85" was completely unprofessional, and would encourage others to look at other options prior to his equipment ... show more

  • Very happy with my purchase
Bought from The_Disc_Connection for a fraction of the price of my local game stores and was fulfilled by Amazon so it arrived quickly with Prime shipping. Was listed as “good” with cosmetic defects. Arrived in “very good” condition and was incredibly clean. Controller is an original Nintendo brand, which was surprising. Joystick is a bit loose but it’s in great shape for its age and usage. I ended up getting Bluetooth controllers anyways so the included one wasn’t a big selling point but it’s cool to know that I have an OG on hand and not the cheap Chinese knockoffs they make nowadays. I have to reseat cartridges every so often to get video output at boot-up but once I get an Everdrive Flash cart, I won’t be swapping carts as often so it should become a non-issue. Also, it’s just one of those things that comes with the territory of retro cartridge gaming so I am not knocking it down for this since the margin of error is pretty low so far. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Bought my N64 from Misfit Games and Comics. Let me start off saying this. I was expecting the console to get to me beat up, dirty and aged. After all it is a 20 year old Console. When i opened up the package this thing was in prestine Condition for being marked as used. It came with power cable, av cable, and an original controller. The cool thing about this is the stick of the controller had little to no play in it whatso ever, this thing had barely been used, very uncommon today to see one in this condition. i was expecting to have to get an aftermarket stick. ( which i will once steelsticks are in the market) the only thing i can say that didnt make this purchase 1 of a kind is the fact it did not have an expansion pack, just a jumper pack. but that is ok. seller did not mention it would come with the expansion anyways so i knew what i was getting myself into on that. I cant wait to get this thing all hooked up and playing goldeneye again. winner winner chicken dinner ... show more
