Amazon renewed says they clean and test their products that is a lie. The console does not run more than 3 minutes without freezing and upon opening the console up found out they never bothered to even clean it. Don’t waste your money

My hubby bought this n64 for me for our anniversary. It came packaged very securely, everything advertised came with it and it works with no issues. The controllers are both in pristine shape. Works with a standard roku tv and simple conversion hook ups (comes with). He bought my favorite childhood game, Yoshi Story, to go with it, I've had the system for over a month now and have had 0 issues. Zelda ocarina of time (2nd fav childhood game) is arriving today and i cannot wait to play it again too. The price is definitely worth the nostalgia!!!! ... show more

Console was dirty, the reset button was stuck inside. A few scratches but that’s to be expected from a 20 y/o console. I opened up the console and gave it a deep cleaning. I tried to play a game at first but I kept getting a blue screen but after a few blows in the cart and console it worked. Maybe it was dirty. I gave it a 4 because it was not clean like advertised. Very disappointed with the false advertising on this package. I ordered this package a couple weeks ago but after testing both the RCA cord, HDMI connection, and cleaning the games and console, the console did not work. I ordered a replacement and the new one works but it is not “Refurbished-Like New/Excellent” as advertised. The controller 1 port is chipped and the bottom appears to be melted. They also did not include an HDMI cord in this package and the N64 to HDMI converter is not the correct version to fit the N64. The console works but you are better off going to your local retro gaming store and buying there so you know exactly what you are getting. ... show more

    • Clean Unit!
This unit arrived to me clean. Like, way clean. Not as scratch on it, as if it was new. Im sure someone has gone through it and cleaned/fixed/rebuilt the console itself, and it came as-described with everything I needed to hook it up and play right away. Its been a little over a month now, and it's working flawlessly. Word to the wise, go find a Retrotink 2x mini to make sure that the picture looks right. Otherwise you will deal with modern TVs scaling up the N64's 240p output by doubling the pixel size. This leaves the picture looking grainy, even with HDMI adapters. Overall, a great way to revisit some of the games that made the 90's and early 2000's fun to grow up in. ... show more
