This controller is one of the best modern version of the N64 controller. This takes inspiration from the Hori Mini and improves upon it with a slightly larger size fitting most people's hands better and moving the D-pad to left fixing the issues the Hori pad has with A and B buttons. Not only that, the controller has stick similar to the GameCube controller so it feels wonderful to use. All that being said, there are some things I find inconvenient about it. The wire really short about a foot shorter than the original N64 Controller. Also the thumbstick although great had almost no deadzone which makes games like vigilante 8 and other car games really sensitive on turning. Works decent in Mario kart though. Shooters like goldeneye or T.W.I.N.E. where you have precise aim, it may be slightly too sensitive. I got used to it but it's something to consider. I'd say this controller is a nearly perfect replacement and for $15 a pair it's certainly a steal. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a modern interpretation of the N64 controller. ... show more

Wow...just wow! I had my doubts buying this controller because it’s fairly cheap and all over the place with WHO made this thing. I enjoyed using the Tribute 64. I bought the Tribute for my fiancé and fell in love with the control scheme. It was great, only downside, I have large hands. I saw this controller as a “larger” tribute/hori pad controller and bought on that basis alone and it had FAR exceeded my expectation for a “cheap knockoff” of the tribute 64. I’ve played Smash, Mario 64, and Dr Mario 64 and this controller plays all of them brilliantly! Other than the D-Pad being a little close to the face buttons (but I will get used to it over time). This is LEAGUES better than the official N64 controller. If you’re looking for new controllers with a modern feel. This is it! And they are stupid cheap too! You can get 2 of them for the price of the Tribute 64 ($25) from other sellers on here! Do it! You’ll be impressed! ... show more

to be honest here, i wasn't expecting much with this one. and it has become my GO TO controller for the N64 the HORI knockoffs that have been coming out do NOT do it for me, they are so tiny, and i even have pretty small hands, i even prefer this to the RetroFighters controller if you are on the fence about this product, just give it a shot. it is surprisingly well built and very good for an "unbranded" product. ... show more
