They are okay for the money. The problems with them are that the toggle in the center is just set onto the little metal post so if you push to hard in any direction the toggle piece will come off the metal piece. I had to supper glue mine so it wouldn't come off. You have to be careful if anyone tries the same because you don't want to get it onto the base part or it will mess with the range of motion. The other thing is the toggle wears out fairly quickly if you use it a lot so say your playing super Mario 64 if you let go of the toggle Mario will still be moving a little bit. I don't think that problem will ever be solved because the original controllers had the same problem. ... show more

One controller's plug seems to have a defect it is very hard to plug in to the n64 and hard to remove no matter where I try to plug it in. I can't get it to go in all the way either but it still works and functions like its suppose to. The other controller works fine. Seems to be working fine after 1 use hopefully they last. I thought about returning because of the 1 controller but i just leave it plugged in and deal with it ... show more

These are like buying a brand new controller in the summer of 1999. The buttons work great, the joystick doesn't feel loose. And they look identical to my original controllers, but a nice pretty blue instead of purple. Highly recommended.

They seem to be a newer improved controller with a very sensitive joy stick. Which is so nice compared to the old ones that hurt to use from pressing so hard. Lightweight controllers. Everything works as should for Nintendo 64.
