the item works great with in about 3.5/4miles in florida ... up north some were it may work better but its flat land here ... item is as described ... i got no complaint instructions are a bit tricky but thats just cause everythings conjoined into like one long sentance i wrote em out and they work fine or look em up for a more easier to read instruction pdf ... this radio is dsp so id advise wait a second to pick up the frequency u want everything works as described it does take some patience to learn the device its simple but not simple to use ... if u are just getting into radios this is a descent beginner ... and for what u get it isnt bad at all ... noaa radio could be better but it still works so thats the key here ... it does have a on or off squelch control but u cant really adjust it other then on/off about it .... all in all for the functionability and what it can do id say its sorta worth the price but could be about 20/25$ cheaper ... thats just me ... its a nice radio for the price though all in all ... it just takes tinker time to learn its settings is all im a hobbiest so i can appreciate it none the less .... i modified the antenna and it works way better then stock antenna it really doesnt work well long range ... i used a wifi sma made sure it was the correct one according to the antenna i bought online that really didnt help the reception how ever when i wrapped copper wire around it , it was nite and day ... i mean after modding this and soldering a sma into it and melting alittle of the plastic to fit a sma in there it worked great i could pick up signals 120 miles away on a 10$ vhf antenna its easy ... i just desoldered the old and resolder my new sma then i hot glued it to stay in place inside slapped it together quik and works awesomely ... i made it sound like a 200$ aviation scanner but it took some work and wrapping that copper wire worked the best !!

By mystery, revived 2 units. Useless devices, unable to receive AIRPLANES VHF doesn’t pickup aircraft or ATC transmission. Locking a well known TWR FREQ. FROM MY HOME TOWN. Not once I heard a transmission while on the site. FM on the other han, worked nicely. Although I was charged, 2 times. My request for refund. Both offered to keep the unit and refund half of the charge. So finally, 2 units for the price of one, leaving me with 2 useless units.

It is amazing, the performance packed into this tiny product. However, it is an ordeal to use. The multiple functions built into the controls, and the manual that does not guide a first-time user into what to do, first, and how to select what is wanted, combine to make the user hard-challenged to continue. Mine is sitting in a box until I feel that need.

The included instruction manual was unreadable. A few hours after delivery, I was emailed an excellent instruction manual in a PDF. All told, this is a great little radio.

I've so far tried just to see what I could pick up while inside my home and was impressed to find that I could hear ATC from the big airport nearby to me, 35 miles away. Not sure how but it was clearly at the far end of range with static but still discernible enough to hear the chatter. Amazing quality for such a low cost device

Great little radio. I bought 4 of these. Immediately programmed 40 CB channels in. Wish uhf and vhf tuned in .5 kHz steps

Radio did not perform properly. It worked good with FM, but I bought it by airband capacity, which was not able to hear. I did not recommend. I returned to vendor.
