So I give this an average of 4 stars. If you are buying solely to cool down a hot sleeping memory foam mattress, I give it a 3 stars. It does help, but not as much as I was hoping it would. However, just on overall comfort and feel, it is 5 stars all the way. This thing just feels amazing to sleep on in terms of softness and overall feel. It fits nicely and just feels lovely to the touch. I just wish it had done more to cool the mattress. To put it in perspective, I am a very hot sleeper. Despite this, I have three memory foam beds I sleep on with some regularity and the most recent one purchased for my RV was the first to give me enough problems to consider something to help with the heat. For whatever reason, this last mattress felt like there was a hot plate underneath where I was sleeping. I was roasting. This cover did help and I am going to be able to make it work, but I would sure like the mattress to be cooler still. Anyway, if you are looking for a luxuriously soft and comfortable mattress topper, this is the one you want. If you are burning up on your memory foam mattress, this will definitely help, but I wish for something just a bit more effective in cooling it down. I originally bought this for our mattress because we were trying to add a more plush feel to our mattress. Now this product is hard to review because I believe its a great product. It absolutely helped me sleep cooler but unfortunately we had to return it. Because the wife and I like our bed on a softer side it actually made the new memory foam mattress firmer. Our mattress is on the 5 of 10 scale of firmness and this brought it up to about a 6. My Wife and I tend to sleep on our side and would wake up with soreness to our shoulders. It seemed the pad did not allow for our bodies to sink and get that hug feeling from our mattress. This pad would definitely be great for back sleepers or non memory foam mattresses. ... show more

Like many of you, I purchased this cover to reduce the heat build-up from my memory foam mattress. To that end, it worked well, that is until I washed it for the first time. I then published a review about my problem, which then the company responded to and promptly shipped me a new cover at no cost! So just be careful with washing, perhaps just spot cleaning, and know if you do have problems, you can depend on this company to do the right thing! ... show more

I had high hopes for this mattress pad from the reviews I had read. Being post menopausal I am, for the most part, sleeping hot. Wanted to sleep at least a little bit cooler as many reviewers stated they did. I will say the pad is nice and plush. Very soft and comfy. That is how it should be advertised, Not as a "cool" pad. Guess my window will be open this winter as it has in the past. ( MY POOR HUBBY ) So now that it has been used, I don't know January 29,2018 UPDATE Much to my surprise, I did hear from this company after this review....offering to take back the USED mattress pad. Both my husband and I felt it would be in poor manners to return this very comfortable pad, BUT for us, not a cooling one. After we heard from them months ago and we informed them that we would be keeping the pad, I thought our dealings were done. However, a few days ago I heard from them asking if the pad was performing any better. Explained to them that we still have to open our window, that although not cooling for us, was indeed very comfortable. THIS AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT ISSUED HALF OUR MONEY BACK TO US, AND TOLD US TO KEEP THE PAD. BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I ARE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY. WILL CHECK OUT WHAT ELSE THEY MAY OFFER. So I bought this to put on top of a bed in a guest room. In the time I've owned it, I received a few compliments from guests on how comfortable it is. With that being said, it was slept on a maximum of 10 times over the past year. I finally decided to put it through an official washing machine wash rather than just vacuuming periodically and it completely destroyed it. Even on the "light soil" setting, it ripped and stuffing was everywhere. So, if you plan on using this, don't plan on washing it. ... show more
