I am enjoying this cube, especially as it can automatically scramble itself. Not sure what the point is for the motor - while it's fun watching it moves itself, and perhaps teaching beginners (but the UI is too difficult to use for real beginners), the scrambling can be done electronically using just lights. Wish they produce a lower cost version without the motorised function and is actual "cube" shape (currently you can get used to it, but it's not the same and you can't move two rows at once. Still enjoy it though. The two things I really don't like: (1) it is extremely difficult to find the charging port/on switch when the cube is off - it is easy when it's on (always on yellow side); (2) That free "armour" is pointless, it is like putting shards of glass it's so sharp it will slice your fingers right off.

The quality of materials and the work of mechanisms are quite high-quality. My son has been playing with it for a month and the cube is still alive. If you're a fan of Rubik's cubes this one should be in your collection too, it brings cardinal new experience. Plus, it's not only a cube, it's small entertainment box which allows you to do more and have fun. However, we've faced with couple of glitches e.g. when it's solved sometimes 1 piece on white side has purple color, instead of white. Similar issues appear during solving process with other colors, I'd say it's software thing (it has latest firmware update). Also, confused that for connecting to Scratch you have to buy additional devices for about 30$. I didn't expect anything extraordinary from mobile app, it's a raw product so far, needs more documentation and better UX. Pros. Great hardware quality Lots of functions Fun Offbeat Good gift (skip Cons. it's still good) The battery is good Cons. Some software issues, sometimes incorrectly display colors No ability to program with Scratch out of the box Mobile app requires improvement Same for the web site, it seems the product can do more than you see, but you have no means to discover that Although, looking forward for improvements, I can still recommend.

The cube is fantastic! Actually this was a purchase for my son who has seen the review of it online and wanted it immediately. My condition was: "Learn to solve the normal Rubik's cube and I'll buy you this one so you could improve your skill". He's learned in one day so much he wanted it (though he owns like a dozen of different kinds of cubes, he's never had the motivation to learn to solve them). This cube is not really a great tool to learn to solve the puzzle from scratch in and of itself, but excellent for improving the skill. Several training modes will help you learn to see the cube differently and solve it faster. Also the fact that it automatically measures the assembly time and shows it upon solving directly on the cube sides is a great tool to see your progress. Haven't yet tried the smartphone sync function so can't say anything about it, but even without the smartphone the cube is awesome. I've even learned to solve it myself, so much fun it is. I have just a couple remarks about our local FedEx representative: they were not really proactive and helpful and I had to deal with local customs office all by myself as they simply never picked up any of the phones from the website (I actually had to hire a third party agent to solve all the formalities) but I guess it's just our local office that sucks. Otherwise a fast and honest delivery, well-packed. If you're fond of Rubik's puzzles and are looking for a cool new one I definitely recommend.

It’s definitely entertaining for a while. The lights and noises are nice. But it doesn’t actually “solve” the cube. I bought it so I could mix it up and watch it solve itself but instead of an AI, it just keeps track of the movements you make and plays them in reverse. If I turn it a few times, turn it back so it’s solved, then mix it up again, it will replay my steps till it’s solved, then continue following my steps even though the cube was solved, mixed it up the opposite way I did, then “solving” it by reversing all of my moves. Disappointing
