Just like the leash, this collar is super cute in green but fur sticks to it pretty easily. That’s the only downside. The thickness is just right for my 15-pound Cavalier, and it feels durable. The clasp broke after 5 weeks. I did not hook it to a leash (used a harness when walking my dog) so there is no strain exerted on collar. Only took it off once to bathe my dog. Would not purchase again.

My daughter’s dog, Lavender, is now living with me and needs a new collar. My 2 dogs (Cockapoos) have had this same collar in Medium & Small since June 2024 & both collars have held up great so far. One of my Cockapoos is a puppy (now 11 months old) and he’s quite mischievous & likes to pull & bite at my other dog’s collars. Since this collar has nice thick material with a metal clasp he isn’t able to get it off of my other dog or break it & because of that he has quite trying :-) So, I ordered Lavender one in mid November 2024 & just saw it laying on the living room floor…? The metal clasp is broken & it’s just January 2025. I will return this one & order another of the exact same in hopes that it’s just this particular clasp that is faulty. I will then give it another few months & adjust my review with a higher star rating. I do also want to point out that this particular collar isn’t one I would use to attach a leash to on a big or strong dog because the collar could slip right off. It’s great for my Cockapoos so far but I sure wouldn’t trust it for Lavender (80 lb Pit-bull) The velvet material is quite nice in regard to looks & durability but just not suitable for leash use with her. I use harnesses with all my dogs when on walks for their safety in case of emergency so it is not an issue for me. I merely use the collars to hold their tags & as stated before because of the velvet fabric and metal clasp being quite durable with my previous use. The attached pictures are of Lavender’s collar with broken clasp (first 2 pics) and the last is of my dog’s collars that are still holding up great! All 3 collars are the “grass green” color. I love this color & they do look exactly like the pictures used on their item detail page. ... show more
