I use these sleeves on my right arm only when I play my acoustic guitar, because I tend to perspire a bit and my arm gets sticky and then it doesn't slide over the guitar top very well with a bare forearm. I also don't want to get sweat or oil onto my beautiful guitar. So these sleeves let my arm slide over the top smoothly when strumming and keep my guitar looking great. The sleeves fit very well - they don't bunch up, they're not too tight or too loose. When I'm done playing I don't mind continuing to wear them because they're very breathable and comfortable, so I hardly know I'm wearing them. Really great product! ... show more

Not as tight as I feared (I have big arms) but they occasionally start to roll down near my biceps. The fabric is stretchy and feels nice, but has pulled and gotten small snags from catching of rough surfaces. Not a big issue, but it did happen. Wearing the sleeves makes your arms feel every breeze as if it's cool & air conditioned. Noticably cool, in fact. Love the sensation. I bought these because I'm a driver and my forearm are always in the sun. To avoid sunburn and skin cancer I use high SPF sunscreen but that doesn't stop my arms from feeling the heat. These sleeves do just that. No more sweaty sensation of having my inner forearm resting on the windowsill, no more sun sorch while sitting in traffic. They're excellent. Bought another pair for a family member who gardens, and I'm going to get 1-2 more for myself as extras to swap around as the first set is drying. Oh yes, I hand wash these and hang to dry. I don't honestly recall what instructions came with it about laundry, but they're classified as Delicates as far as I'm concerned. I love them. It is perfect to keep in the car and use them as needed. Love how it feels on my bare arm and functions extremely well. I have only used so far in the car and I think that would be only occasion for me to use these sleeves. It is perfect for that purpose.

These arm protectors are much more wearable and durable than the cheaper variety I had previously. They keep the sun off of my arms while I'm working outdoors, but also provide warmth in the winter without adding much bulk. Neither too tight nor too loose on larger arms. A non-fisher person preparing for a fishing trip, I bought these sleeves to go with a short sleeve fishing shirt (which also had a UV 50 protection rating). I kind of wish now that I had just bought a long sleeve fishing shirt, but at the time I was worried I'd be too hot and these sleeves could be removed. The fishing trip lasted six hours, with three of those hours in full sun. On the plus side, these were not too hot and they definitely protected my arms from sunburn. However, I was a bit disappointed in the amount of protection these provided. My arms ended up with some tan, and by evening had that "warm" feeling you get when you're about to start to burn. For comparison, I had on shorts and slathered my legs with spf 50 sunscreen and at the end of the day my legs and my arms covered with the sleeves had the same amount of tan color. However, the upper parts of my arms and shoulders that were covered by the fishing shirt (and without the "extra" covering of a life jacket) felt fine and had not tanned at all. I really suspect that a long sleeve version of the shirt, being looser than these pull on sleeves, would have provided better protection. If you are getting these sleeves for sun protection, I would not count on them for a lot of time in direct sun, at least not without sunscreen. They did stay up on my arms really well (almost too well - I have average size arms, and they were right on the edge of being too tight) and were easily stretchable to cover the upper part of my hands. I noticed that the one I had on my dominate arm already has some pilling where it must have rubbed against my life jacket. All in all, they served their purpose but I don't think I would buy them again. ... show more

These fit like a second skin and stay stretchy after washing. They allow for evaporation, my skin is dry after taking them off. They provide great protection from the sun. Might be a bit tight at the top for people with larger than average upper arms.
