Style: Table Saw with Stand
Relatively new to woodworking and originally bought a Ryobi table saw. The Ryobi saw did not have a standard track width so my (new ) accurate mitre gauge did not fit the sliders and the original mitre gauge was awful. It also only had a 7” blade that I found limiting. The fence needed alignment after each cut, and I was often cutting inaccurately. So I started to look for an upgrade. I had been deluged with ads about this Evolution table saw, so I thought I’d take a closer look and read the reviews and watch You tube videos. I loved the extender bars and rack and pinion fence, and the sliding track were game changers for me. It arrived a few days ago, packing was ok, nothing damaged even though the box looked worse for wear. I also bought the wheeled worksite table to sit the saw upon as I’m space challenged. The instructions are terrible, all pictorial, putting the stand together was a chore, and I had to part disassemble it and redo on 2 occasions. Putting the saw together was easier, but still needed a lot of attention to detail to make it all fit, but at least I got it together at the first attempt. Anyway, alls done now and it sits perfectly on my stand. I’ve only used it a few times since putting it together and still have the original multi material blade in it (waiting for my woodworking blade to arrive). However, even with the multi material blade the cuts were fantastic, the wood glided through, a huge difference from the Ryobi. The extension arm was a major assist. Sawdust collection was superb, the angled down pipe sent virtually all the sawdust into my bucket. Summary…it’s still a budget table saw, though at the top end of the budget range. The features it has are very impressive. It needed no calibration, I checked everything out from the blade angles and the rack and pinion fence, all very accurate. Quiet and a slow start up is great. One nice surprise was the it also came with a replacement throat plate so you can use a dado set of saw blades without having to make your own throat plate. For all of its features where many are found only on higher end saws this is a great purchase and highly recommended. Just be patient when you have to put it together. ... show more

I have no complaints about this purchase. Great saw, full of high end features you won’t find on others in its price range. Powerful (and loud) and accurate. Maybe one thought, get yourself a better blade. It’s not awful, but not great.

Just got mine in yesterday. FedEx beat it up, they didn’t deliver the first day and they were late the second, but that was all FedEx. There was damage to one of the stand legs which was pretty bad but I got straight enough to make it work. So it’s really just cosmetic now. The stand works. The bigger problem was the rail. Both were dented in several places. When I get to 10 3/4 in the thing gets stuck and I have to pull it to get it out farther. Took photos of the box before I opened it and of all the parts as I removed them. The amazing part was their customer service. I registered it right away and when I called them this morning they were AMAZING so nice so helpful. They didn’t even ask for the photos even though I offered to send them several times. Already got an e-mail that new rails are on their way. Evolution gets 5 stars the saw still works great even though it obviously took a beating from FedEx and will work even better when I get the new rails and don’t have to force it past 10 in. The thing was dead square, even with the dented rails. I couldn’t verify the square on the “B” (black) fence setting as one of those was dented and the fence wouldn’t lock on. Their customer service would get more than 5 stars if I could give it. ... show more

Very nice table saw with lots of options for different uses. The table saw is useful for miter cuts and long cuts does so with adjustments and minimal noise. The collapsible stand works well for height and portability. How ever the assembly of the stand is difficult. The instruction book verses the actual parts needs some help- bigger pictures like on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet and broader diagrams to see which piece attaches to which other piece as they all look alike in the small diagrams. No labels on the pieces or direction of each piece. Designed by an engineer evidently, but hours to assemble cart. Nice when done but wanted to drag the designer and instructions behind wild horses while assembling. ... show more

Absolutely thrilled with this purchase. Can easily be assembled by one person. Very low on the noise front. Soft start and brake are great. Came needing almost no adjustments. Like ALL of these types of saws, the pusher stick and miter fixture are very low quality (I replaced both with quality devices.) Easy to maneuver and level. A real pleasure to use. ... show more

Issues with Evolution R10TBLX 10" : fence is not straight throughout its lengths- aluminum extrusion is not flat Table of the saw is not flat Blade of the saw when rotated by hand doesn't stay at 90 to the table. _difference 1.7 to 2 degrees.) The throat insert, ( from aluminum), is not flat , Overall: You get what you are paying for -so did I, but it was already too late to switch my order to any other competitive Saw. I was also motivated by that small sliding table in Evolution R10TBLX 10" -wrong decision. This saw is definitely good for cutting 2x4 on the construction side Making precision cabinetry with it, is a challenge -to be very gentle with words, E.g. : Wood having length of 46 cm cut along into two show the difference between front and end of 1.7 mm or more mostly due to fence linearity inconsistency ( gauge placed between top edge and lower edge of fence excursion shows in the middle 0.7mm gap that is impossible to be corrected and even worse - this gap is not consistently deep along fence length.. Now the good part: The saw was nicely packed. No missing parts - ( Evolution's newest upgraded model.). Their tech support didn't provide even simplest advice from attached photos, but company has no problem refunding it or replacing it for the new one - (in my opinion one "lemon" to another "lemon") This saw is not complete junk and yes it can even cut the wood but I regret buying it.( small form factor, easy to transport, not too heavy). Rigidity of the Saw Stand with wheels is not as bad but makes me feel unsafe. The assembly manual (many buyers complain about) was easy and clear to me . Package was timely delivered. Ending note: Importance of bad comments is that they are mostly mirroring real experience and the level of professionalism of the buyer. Version of my REVIEW with one star rating was held from public view till we gave it a new higher rating of two stars (in hope that it'll become visible to the public . My review is pushed far deep I ASSUME TO BE NOT EASY FOUND BY POTENTIAL NEW BUYER. ... show more

Style: Table Saw with Stand
First off, I love this table saw. It’s the best jobsite table saw I’ve ever owned or worked with. It cuts true right out of the box, and I did not need to make any adjustments to make the blade square. The rack and pinion fence is very good. The outfeed support is a little on the weak side, but the fact that it even has an outfeed support is amazing for this price point. It comes with a plastic push stick and storage for the various wrenches and mitre gauge. It even comes with a multi-material blade that has worked well with everything I’ve thrown at it so far. My biggest complaint: the assembly instructions for the rolling cart are AWFUL. The cart itself is good once you finally figure out how to put it together, but there are no descriptive words in the manual to tell you how to assemble it. You just have to look at the pictures and try to figure out if you’re even assembling the correct pieces. The manual shows parts A, B, C, D, etc. connected with screws N, but the actual parts don’t have a sticker to tell you that it’s part A, B, C, or D, and you have to do your best to guess if you’re using screw N or P. You also have to give your best guess if you have the pieces aligned correctly or if they need to rotate 180⁰. There were several points during my assembly that I had to pull stuff apart and reassemble it because I realized I had assembled it with the left handle on the right, and it was turned 90⁰. So, bottom line, this is a great saw with the worst assembly instructions I’ve ever seen. ... show more
