  • USE CABLES THAT COME WITH NEW PSU(Nearly Blew Up My Motherboard)
Pattern: Power Supply Style: Supernova 1600 P+
PSU works as intended, I got it as a replacement for my EVGA 1000W due to that one being unable to sustain 100% TDC for more than 45 minutes. Replacement was easy and will fit in 8" by 6" in PSU slot. Fan noise is noticeable in a quiet room, but isn't an issue for me. One HUGE note, I didn't know this prior and maybe it's common knowledge. But with any new PSU, you MUST use the new cables and replace the older ones in order for proper operation. Failure to do so may result in pins leading to grounds/power rails and may cause you to short your motherboard and components. I was very lucky in that the auto failsafe in my motherboard stopped it before anything happened(motherboard lights flicked on for a moment and then immediately cut off). Thankfully I got the quick solution by EVGA's FAQ for troubleshooting faulty PSU's. ... show more

  • Virtually noiseless under ordinary loads
Pattern: Power Supply Style: Supernova 1600 P+
The monster of a power supply stays completely quiet under ordinary load levels, cooled with nothing except the general case airflow. It's pretty great! Lots of 12V outputs, enough to run two GPUs on a Threadripper WRX80E motherboard. The power supply is quite long, so pay attention to this when planning your system. In a case like Thermaltake Core P8, this was not an issue at all, but a more cramped case could spell trouble. The power supply also uses a less common (in consumer equipment) variant of the IEC standard plug, but EVGA of course included a pretty good quality cable for it. ... show more

  • Works perfectly
Pattern: Power Supply Style: Supernova 1600 P+
Well packaged and a ton of cables. Just did an LGA1700 build with an i9-12900K, dual RTX 3090s, and 64GB DDR5. Ran a burn-in benchmark on the 3090s so 300 watts each plus the rest of the rig. 1200w probably would have been enough, but in for a dime, in for a dollar. Quiet and *loads* of headroom. Great PS. ... show more

  • The King of PSUs
Pattern: Power Supply Style: Supernova 1600 P+
This is the top of the line power supply from EVGA. There is one other but it is also 1600 watt and specifically made for mining but this one is used in a "normal" computer build. We are putting it in a unit having two 30390ti GPUs, water cooling, and 10 case fans, which even with that is a little overkill but we would rather err on the side of too much. We also always like to use Titanium level units. Besides the next level down is 1300 watt and it only rates to Platinum. The unit went in easy and is very quite. With the big 140mm fan in the unit and the other case fans heat will not be an issue. My only negative comment is more of a personal aesthetic one. Normally, we like to supplement a units appearance with color coordinated PSU custom cables. This PSU pushes so much power you need specially constructed cables, which come in the box, to transfer that 1600 watts. So you'll need to be sure to use the nicely braided 1/2" thick 24 pin black cable to move that power. ... show more

  • [UPDATE] Buzzing noise
Pattern: Power Supply Style: Supernova 1600 P+
I've been using this product 4 days by now, I started to notice a buzzing noise comming from the PSU at random times, (under load and idle). The first day it just turned off my computer, I was playing games and the buzzing noise started, then i switched the ECO mode off and works now but with that aweful buzzing noise. UPDATE Now is day 8 since I started using the product, the buzzing noise dissappeared and works as expected. ... show more

  • Great psu, no more transient power spikes triggering shutdowns!
Pattern: Power Supply Style: Supernova 1600 P+
My old psu, corsair hx1000 would trigger restarts every 30 minutes to an hour of I let my 3090 stay at 100% tdp. Figured no kill like overkill and this psu covers all the bases. It's silent when the fan isn't running, but a bit noisy when it is, however the fan never runs long, just a few seconds. and I can't hear it with my headphones on, so no biggie. ... show more

  • A little expensive, but WORTH IT
Pattern: Power Supply Style: Supernova 1600 P+
it really solves any issue you may have regarding the ammount of cables going from the PSU to you VGA's, this has crazy amount of outputs, you can forget about using multiple psus and multiple splitters, besides the huge advantage of not having to calculate everything you get on your rig beucase it is a 1600W Platinum ... show more

  • Junk
Pattern: Power Supply Style: Supernova 1600 P+
Neither Evga nor Amazon want to give me my money back. Evga wants me to keep shipping it in to be refurbished. Shipping costs 60 dollars. It has failed twice in under a year. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
