  • Fantastic Commuter Scooter is a Great Value with Long Battery Life
Style: H5(10.4AH)
The media could not be loaded. The Evercross H5 Electric Scooter is a serious scooter for commuters. It is loaded with upgrades but I think the best feature of this scooter is its battery life. While battery life might not be on the top of your list, what I found is that the longer and faster you go on this scooter the longer you want to keep riding it. It is amazing how quickly the miles start to add up. Older kids (11+) can enjoy this scooter as well if they wear a helmet, respect the rules of the road, and respect the speed guidelines that you have set for them. The main advantage an older kid will see on this scooter is that it will go all weekend long for them as opposed to cheaper brands, which will die out after 20 – 30 minutes of runtime. My son did 12 miles of riding on this scooter over 45 minutes and was only down one battery bar of the 5 because he weighs 88 lbs. This scooter is also an excellent choice for larger riders, riders over 300 lbs. It has a weight capacity limit of 330 lbs and as a larger rider it got me up to 22 mph on a straightaway. I was able to go 12 miles on it as well but that took 2 battery bars for me. I am confident I can get 18+ miles on this scooter off a full charge as a large rider because I still had plenty of juice left on the battery after my 12 mile ride. It even took me up a nice size hill although I did the hill with a running start and it was only going about 6 mph at the top but it kept going and made it. Where it really struggled though was going over grass, I started to push with my right foot and that was able to get it going and a few pushes later I made it back to pavement. Delivery and unboxing was quick and setup was easy. You just open the box, remove the protective packaging, use the illustrated installation manual, tighten a few allen bolts down and are probably good to go in 30 – 35 minutes. They provide you with everything you need to tighten all of the allen bolts and the manual was super helpful and easy to follow. Once I finished my final assembly of the scooter, I checked the wheels to make sure they spun freely. The front wheel was touching the disc brake a little so I pulled on it until it wasn’t. The guides are so tight that any imbalance in the disc needs to be corrected but you just push in on the brake until it does not touch the caliper. I also had to change the display from km to mph, which can be a little bit tricky until you figure it out. It is not the most user friendly but once you get it to the way you want it, you don’t need to mess with it again. After charging up the scooter for awhile, I took it out for its maiden voyage. I was not a fan of the seat at first but once I started going faster I realize that it was much more stable with a seat. If you want, you can remove the seatpost as well which is nice. I noticed the seat swivels, which I did not like but is a feature of the seat provided. If you don’t like or want this feature, than you will need to purchase a new seatpost. I believe it swivels because of the shock that is on the top of the seatpost. As I said before, I am a larger rider and I had no problems getting up to 22 mph on a flat, paved straightway. The scooter also handled most hills pretty reasonably, It would slow down as it got harder but like I said before, if you just sit tight it will make it. Another suggestion on really tough hills would be to push it as well. For most riding situations though, this scooter handled great. The dual shocks, disc brakes, comfortable seat, easy trigger to move, it was great. I enjoyed my riding so much that I was oblivious to how far I had actually traveled. I think the best feature of this scooter is the battery life because it allows you to really get a nice long and enjoyable ride out of the scooter. Other scooters which cost less really cut down on the expensive batteries but this is where all the fun is. The 600w hub motor is not a speed demon for accelerating either, unless you weigh 100 lbs, but once it gets up there it had a very nice top end and you will quickly catch up to your friend. The batteries are lithium ion, so they work great, they hold a nice charge, do not have memory effect but most importantly perform like a lithium ion battery product. Traditional batteries have been described as like you are coming down a mountain where performance is best the first 5 – 10 minutes but after 20 minutes or slow the scooter will hardly move. Lithium ion batteries are completely different animals, they are more like falling off a cliff. It is full power from start to end and then zero power. This is a serious scooter, for commuters, older kids and for those that are looking for an upgraded scooter. I am very happy with the delivery, easy setup, ride quality, battery life and upgraded features. My kids loved the LED lights on the sides and as a father I love how this makes them more visible at night, with the headlight and tail light included. It comes with a horn but the sound was so bad my son said he would never be using it and I tend to agree with him. It is nice to have though, but it needs to make a bell sound instead of an annoying beep. I have two older boys who took turns on this scooter and the best part is that the scooter could take whatever they threw at it because they don’t weigh a bunch. Larger riders will find this scooter surprising fun and will enjoy the longer range and battery life as they will need these features to really get maximum enjoyment of out the product. ... show more

  • LOVE THIS SCOOTER!
Style: H9(14AH)
I upgraded from the EV08E Electric Scooter, 350W Motor & 8" Solid Tires, 20 Miles Range &19 Mph model. I only put 20 miles on it and just couldn't stand the rough ride on non smooth surfaces. The H9 model is really the H5 with a nicer and larger display screen. No key to lock, but I bought a lock and side mirrors. The scooter is heavier than the other, but I don't care. The look, the smooth ride, the option use the seat, and the SPEED is a win win situation. I'm almost certain this scooter goes faster than 28 MPH. It's just a fun ride and I'm happy with the upgrade. ... show more

  • Unfortunately too many defects ‐ use to be better
Style: H5(10.4AH)
The media could not be loaded. I've been buying Evercross H5 from many years now. This new modified version has been most disappointing. 😒 OUTCOME: This newer model ▪︎comes with a super cheep mat for your feet former models would have traction scraps that wouldn't come no matter how you tried. ▪︎the mat looked glued with school glue. Right out of the box and it can easily be pulled off with no resistant 😒 from all corners ▪︎the horn control didn't come with a nut to lack it. I used the spare nut in the package set but it was not the right size and just damaged it instead. ▪︎the speedometer would become black after seconds of driving. Wouldn't display again unless turned off and on again. ▪︎After riding and the speedometer turning off, a moment later felt I had issue with the acceleration. Not giving me full throttle as I turned it off and on to get it to work. I continued to tried re-accelerating to get the switch to work. Yet seemed unstable. ▪︎Much higher to where you put your feet than before. Not sure if it will require more balance or safety when getting off suddenly. Didn't ride it that long. ▪︎Not using the same colors display as the orginal model. The colors displayed by the lights is different and not as colorful CONCLUSIÓN ▪︎Too dangerous to ride without the certainty of it working correctly. ▪︎An exchange was NOT an option unfortunately. Something I've done in the past. Meaning I had to wait 6 days for the return to get processed and than wait for the refund. Plus 2 weeks to get the new one 😒 ▪︎I'm going to give Evercross another chance to make it up by re-purchasing it again. $600 is a lot of money. May it be worth it. 💸💸💸 2ED SCOOTER : Evercross isn't good as it use to be. 😐 ▪︎after a full charge only gave me under 4 miles before the battery died. Models of 2 years ago gave me a minimum of 10 miles full blast to 14-20 miles average speeds. ▪︎max speed is 22mph. Not 25mph. I only weight 150 lbs and the eariler models use to easily get to 25mps ▪︎No acceleration. Old models you could feel it pull you in acceleration. Level 2 only get you up to 15 mph. When it use to easily get to 20mph in former models. ▪︎The way its build you are unable to turn it fully to the right because it pops out the brake cord. Jamming the brake handel for you till it pops back into place. This happens constantly. Took weeks to figure it out. Making noises as it scraps against something. Video uploaded on this. Now seems to pop out randomly perhaps while I ride or use the break. ▪︎The new front suspensions are Noisy. I road this scooter for about 3 weeks trying to break it in to see if the noise went away. It helped to not hear it often but still existed anytime you'd jump or go over something. I loved how quiet the older models were no matter what I did. So I worry how noisy it will get overtime. ▪︎Bottom mat didn't come off so easily as the last yet you could feel that it could come off with enough pressure as you'd give a used band-aid. ▪︎Tires are build differently stopping the traction when taking tight turns. Noticed this on my first ride. Former models had tires with traction all around, fully rounded. These newer model have the tires rounded half way than shaped inward. No longer safe for sharp turns on the street. ▪︎Cruise-control took longer to kick-in or wouldn't. Former models (I've had over 3) didn't have issues connecting quickly. ▪︎More difficult to unfold than before. The attachment had been changed. I like that instead of a sperate pin it stays connected. Former models sometime had that fallout while riding. Yet the lever riders pull out then push in, is harder to push in. I always have to use both hands as I balance the bike next to my neck. Plus needs to be pulled and pushed twice as if getting stuck on something while doing it. ▪︎The ONLY plus is how they raised the platform where you have your feet are. Amazing 👏 how you stop hitting high sidewalks or going down road high spots. CONCLUSIÓN: I buy because I want a product in perfect conditions to what is proclaimed in advertisement. Will return the 2ed scooter also. It lacks too many qualities I know Evercross use to be great in. I post this review not only for the customers but for the company to see the draw backs and make better scooters. I've honestly have stayed with Evercross for many reasons. 🙃 An having to look for other brands with the same qualities Evercross use to have. If not older Evercross models. Isn't a choose customers should have to make. Evercross please make better, faster scooters soon! ... show more

  • Excellent scooter for the price H9 14.0aH
Style: H9(14AH)
I bought this for primary transportation because I love in a city that is usually packed with cars and the Evercross H9 flies through all of it, it's nice to be able to use bicycle rules, you can make it from one side of the city to the other much faster than a car because of motor vehicles have lights and stop signs, you can't just cut in on the sidewalk like you can with a scooter.. I love this thing! The display works well even in the Florida sun I can still see the speedo and gauges, there's not alot if handlebar room for adding into so I'd get a riser to mount your phone, speaker I'm etc.. it runs at exactly 28.0 mph and I can feel the 800 watt motor is not being stressed at all, the only issue is it holds the 28.0 mph even down hill which bugs me but other than that, it seems to be a good scoot. Update 5/7/24 ok after measuring speed using GPS when it says 28 mph on the speedo is running at 25 mph which is 3 mph under what they claim and I'm a small guy 5'6" weighing 155 and was on flat ground. 25 mph not 28 mph and with these things yes 3 mph is a huge difference. ... show more
