Photo taken 12:20pm in full daylight just after installing. Had to double check package to make sure it said warm white. These do not give off that warm white feel and I’m going to find some other bulbs. I’ll keep these cause its not worth sending back

I wanted to decrease the battery draw while the parking lights were on, and I had to put these on the Hyundai Elantra. While in the parking light mode, these draw ~0.015A, meaning around 0.2W, while the regular bulb draws 5-8W, depending on the type. So these draw a LOT less, while the brightness is about the same. The brake light mode draws 0.14A, so around 1.7W, but for some reason it doesn't look a lot brighter than parking. It is a bit brighter, but not a lot more (not 8x). One thing I did notice, is that when you press on the brake, and trigger the brake element on, the parking lights get a bit of voltage as well, and that illuminates the back light on my shifter. No biggie, but I thought I'd mention it. UPDATE: OK, I took them out of the car. I mentioned earlier that pressing on the brakes illuminates some of the backlights? well, apparently the reverse is also true: when you turn on the headlights, or parking lights, apparently that sends a little bit of current into the circuit that operates the brake lights. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, however, if you want to use cruise control at night (or whenever you have your headlights on), you're outta luck. The computer will think that you're pressing on the brakes (because there is voltage in that circuit when the lights are on) and won't allow the cruise control to engage. I also realized that pressing on the brakes illuminates the dashboard backlights, as if the parking lights were on. Long story short, these are going back to the seller. If anyone knows about bulbs that don't share the LEDs between parking and brake mode, lemme know. ... show more

I have an older 2005 Hyundai Tucson and a couple of bulbs went out recently. I decided to upgrade all the light bulbs on the entire car to LEDs since they have come down in price where I can order replacements cheaper than what I would pay for halogens at Pep Boys, Autozone, O’Reileys, etc. I noticed a big difference with some bulbs like the LED headlights but with these amber 1156 bulbs they don’t seem to have as much coverage as the halogen bulb. What I mean by this is that the light beam seems much more concentrate and focused on only part of the blinker housing. The old halogens seem to fill out the entire blinker housing more evenly. The brightness and intensity didn’t look that much of a difference but overall I’m satisfied that I’ll never have to change them again. I also had to install resistors since the blinkers were “hyper flashing” and blinking too fast due to the smaller load with the LEDs. This was a little bit of a hassle so I probably would have just left the halogens on had I known about the brightness and compatibility issues upfront. ... show more

I may have caused the issue by touching the bulb with my bare hands, but 2 of the 4 were flickering within a month. I reinstalled 2, used a paper towel, and dielectric grease. Fingers crossed.

I put these in my 2020 Elantra for rear turn signals. The lenses on the turn signal are clear so it doesn’t disperse the light very well. Lights like this should probably have a glass housing around the LEDs to help disperse the light instead of aiming it. At night they blend right in with the brake lights but during the day I’m worried people might not even see the turn signal. ... show more
