    • Excellent design for OEM reflectors, very bright

Brake and turn signal light housings are designed to work with an incandescent bulb which are standard lengths. The reflectors inside the OEM housings reflect the light and project it appropriately. These reflectors can't do their jobs properly if the source position and direction of light are altered from that form which the housing was designed. Most aftermarket bulbs are too long and/or do not cast light towards the socket as do incandescent bulbs. I know because I've tried dozens of different aftermarket bulbs. These ibrightstars got everything right. They cast light 260 degrees literally, straight ahead, and most importantly are the same length as a standard 7440 bulb so that the reflectors can do their job as designed. They are also 95% as bright as the brightest ones I've tested. These also click in securely to the 7440 socket which is not always the case with aftermarket LEDs. The only thing that can be improved, which can be said also for all the others I've tested, is that the base is pretty large and this blocks light going rearward towards the socket and cast backwards to the rear of the reflectors. This must be a requirement for heat dissipation and the desired size of the bulb. Another really good bulb, albeit slightly longer than standard, is the diamond shaped ones by Lasfit. ... show more

    • Nice and bright but questionable longevity

I have bought two sets of these bulbs. The fit is good and good brightness, however, the longevity has been questionable. I am sure that in 3 years of use these bulbs have noting near the stated 30,000 hours of operating life before one of the pair fails. Though not much more expensive then a long life halogen bulb, I am thinking of returning to a more standard bulb because these are a bit of a waste for the longevity that does not significantly exceed the life of a standard bulb that I can get at my local auto parts store. ... show more

I wish I had taken pics side by side of these replacement bulbs vs the oem. These worked great for my 2005 Honda Odyssey's reverse lights. Their fit was exact & the results were much brighter than the factory originals. I'm impressed. I would highly recommend. Best part of the project was that I got to teach my oldest son how to replace the reverse bulbs in a vehicle. Passing it down to the next generation. ... show more

Replaced halogens on a mid-2000s Toyota Camry, ease of installment will depend on your car set up. To be frank, therly are bright, but I don't what others are saying about them being too bright. I've had other people look at the brake lights at night and while they're very crisp and clear, they're not blinding. You should want your brake lights to be bright and grab the attention of the drivers behind you anywho. ... show more

This bulb fit for both front and rear of my RX. So much brighter than the stock bulbs and produce less heat. I had to modify the bulbs to fit my rear turn signals by cutting off the middle posts to slide in the bulb socket but works just as great considering they weren’t touching any contacts in the first place. ... show more

These rear dual driving/brake LED light bulbs installed into the existing sockets perfectly. When lit, comparing these to the original lamps, these were brighter, even in daylight. I have a 2000 Toyota 4runner and one of my brake bulbs went out due to age/wear so naturally I bought this as it was a suggested item when searching. My brake lights are brighter and have a noticeable difference at night. These were super easy to install and fit into my taillight housing just fine. Feel wise the bulb material does not feel cheap and the improved brightness made me feel very happy about my purchase. I had to paint the interior of the backup light section since the silvering had turned to dust, so some aluminum paint and these much brighter bulbs = no more getting out to make sure there’s nothing in my way while backing up. Yes, older vehicle with no camera in the back, just old school skills.
