  • Bright
Bought this to replace the bulbs in my mk7 golf r and they’re very bright and worth the money!

  • Verify authenticity before you open the box.
Only 3 stars due to quality control. I purchased these bulbs a few months ago. I installed them and when I turned them on, the passenger side looked like a standard bulb, yellow/orange hue. The driver side had the bright white with a hint of blue which is what I wanted and purchased. I checked the bulbs and they had 2 different model numbers. Pictures included. I removed them both and purchased them again. This price was pretty good. This time I scanned the QR code on the package and the bulbs and made sure the model numbers were the same. They look great and the wife is happy. Happy wife, happy life! ... show more

  • They are good!!
First off The ones I received are authentic. Osram has a 2 step authenticity check you can do once you get the bulbs. you do not need to open the package to do this check. Lincoln MKS is the vehicle replacing OEM bulbs This is what they look like to me. My Lincoln with OEM bulbs compared to a vehicle with traditional headlights. Lincoln appears white and the other is yellowish. Lincoln is 2X brighter then the other. Before I did anything with the bulbs. I sanded the headlamp lenses with 1500, 2000, and 3000 git emry cloth. then i used barkeepers friend made into a paste to polish them some more. then out came the rouge wheel. when I was done the vehicle didn't even look like it had any lenses over the headlights. Unfortunately because no manufacturer has seem to figure out a way to stop the plastic lenses from getting the micro cracks from the heat and UV of the bulbs. I do have this and it is seen when the headlights are turned on. I installed one bulb so I could do a side by side comparison so apples to apples if you get my meaning. These bulbs compared to the OEM is pretty damned close to what the OEM HID to "Legacy" is like Not 2X brighter maybe 40% brighter. And they have the slightest blue to them. I would peg these things at maybe 6100K or so. Not the 7000 marked on the package. I had done some research and saw some people mention this. o it was something I was expecting. I also bought a set of Morimoto H11 55Watt HID's to replace the legacy yellow colored fog lights. They are 6500K so they should go well with these bulbs. Hopefully this should help me see better when "that guy" comes from the other direction. "That guy" is the person with the pickup truck that has an HID conversion and didn't adjust the headlights so they are pointing at the ground more. I will post a photo a little later that shows the difference between Legacy, OEM HID and these bulbs. ... show more

  • Super Bright and Truly White Bulbs
As soon as I got these, I ran the part numbers through Osram’s Trust Program. I was thrilled that they passed with flying colors. They’re super easy to install when you have easy access to the bulb housing. Unfortunately, Audi made it super complicated so I had to partially remove the bumper and pull out the entire headlight. Once removed, it literally took a minute or two to replace them. That’s all on Audi so I won’t dock any points from Osram. Now on to the the bulbs. Wow, they’re super bright and much clearer and whiter than my stock Phillips 4300K xenon bulbs. They yellowishness is for the most part gone and they’re clearly a sharp white. I’ve only had them on for about 3-4 hours, but the difference is definitely noticeable. It’s like going to xenon for the first time from halogen bulbs. I have to agree with most of the previous reviews - these are closer to 5500-6000k and far, thank god, from 7000k. I wanted bright white and I got it. Like my stock bulbs, these aren’t the greatest in the rain. I’ve read that others had better rain vision with stock xenon’s but mine sucked. They were great otherwise. So I won’t dock any points for the rain performance. So yeah, I love these bulbs and they’re amazing an upgrade if your coming from the stock xenon bulbs. Don’t worry, they only have a tiny hint of blue and won’t look “ricer” at all. I’ll post an update, with pics, after some extended night driving in dry conditions. ... show more

  • 2019 Dodge Charger
I’ll admit I’m not great at before and after pics, these were taken in direct sunlight so the difference is not as obvious. However at night the difference is extremely obvious. These throw out a much whiter light than the factory D3S bulbs (which were also Osram but at a 4200k temp). There’s a YouTube comparison with these bulbs versus factory HID bulbs on a Durango, which uses the same projectors as the charger, and these came out much brighter. Doing my research is why I those these specific bulbs and I’m happy. Osram is a leader in this industry and definitely a quality brand. Worth mentioning is that Osram rated these bulbs at 7000K, not sure why, because the higher the kelvin the more blue the bulb is and the LESS light output you get, that is NOT the case with these. These are more 5000-5500k in temperature and definitely put out great light. ... show more

  • First set STILL going strong actually!
I ended up not needing these even though I ordered them as a replacement for a set. I had thought one of them had gone out/dark,,, turns out the ballast went bad from the Chevrolet manufacturer (panasonic) on my 2016 Impala. So,,,so far I've been running my first set of these for 3 years now still look great when they do finally go out haha I do have a replacement set then. I've a slightly tinted windshield here out in Las Vegas Nevada USA they are slightly helpfully, brighter and the lenses keep them focused correctly,,they are still very white they power on a little purply/blue but when they heat up in within a few seconds they become crisp bright white about 6300K. They look clear ,sharp & as usual osram/sylvania (Philips too) know how to make a a good light bulb! ... show more

  • Not 6K, let alone 7K color temp.
These bulbs are not close to 7K, they’re not even close to 6K. I have 6K LED fogs and these don’t match. My old Philips Ultinon 6K were bluer than these are, so don’t believe the Osram hype. They just can’t make a bulb that’s not plain jane yellow-white. Don’t waste your money on these or any other Osram bulb because they’ll all be under this one in terms of color temp. Buy something else. Also, the box came in damaged and cracked/broken. Don’t buy from this vendor. ... show more
