I purchased this car set for my son who was 14 months at the time I purchased it. We've had it for over 6 months now and I am really happy with the purchase. What I Like: I love that this car seat was reasonable priced but still a quality product. It does exactly what I need it to without paying for a huge car seat with extras that we don't need. It has a fairly narrow design, and fits in my car with a booster seat on each side. This was a must for us as we have 3 kids in our sedan. Also, I'm petite so a big bulky car seat isn't fun to lug around or try to install. Not too bulky, but still seems soft and comfy. My son's not a huge talker, but he hasn't indicated that it's uncomfortable in any way. Easy to install and uninstall when you need to move the car seat. Not too hard to get it correctly installed in a secure position. The strap tension adjustment is easy to use, probably the easiest I've ever used and I know my way around a car seat. You just push the button in the front bottom of the seat and pull the shoulder straps to loosen them, put the baby in the seat and buckle up the harness, then pull the strap on the adjuster at the bottom to make tight with the harness at the armpits of the baby. It comes with a latch system and a tether so you can use either option. The whole seat cover comes off easily and is machine washable. Let's face it, babies are messy and tend to spit up, but the cover came out looking great after going through the washing machine. What it Lacks: The cup holder is pretty weak. We didn't end up using it, one reason being that it's in an awkward spot and would have probably been bothering my daughter in the seat next to it, and we couldn't actually get it to stay on. Even if we could get it to stay, it doesn't look like it is very durable. This car seat is supposed to be a seat for a baby 5-40 lbs, but does not come with any additional padding for an infant. I think a 5 lb baby would be way too tiny for such a large seat, but that's my opinion. I like keeping my babies in an infant car seat until they turn a year old because I like to be able to remove the seat from the car to carry them and also, the infant seats just seem more comfortable for a tiny baby who sleeps all the time. My son was over a year and a pretty solid toddler when I purchased this, so it was perfect for him. Overall, it's been a great car seat! We've been fortunate to not have been in any accidents, so I can't say for sure how it holds up under trauma, but for us it's been perfect. We were on a budget so the price was the main reason for choosing this car seat, but it turned out to be great! I like the simple design and I've been happy with the purchase.

I'd give it four and a half stars if that were an option because I like it a lot. Because of the low price, I was really nervous about buying this car seat. Who wouldn't worry about their child being safe and comfortable in such a low cost seat when others are five or six times this price? I figured we would try it out in his car but buy a more expensive, "better" seat for my car since it's the one our child is in most of the time. Instead, I'm thinking of buying a second one of these. This seat is lightweight enough to take when traveling (which was initially why I'd thought it would be good as our second car seat) and very easy to use. The strap adjustment is smooth and easy, no tugging like on the more expensive infant seat we have now! Also, the two sides fasten independently into the bottom buckle which is such a good thing! On the infant seat we have, you needed to put them together like a puzzle and slip them into the buckle together--with a squirmy, cranky, tired child that is such a hassle. The ability to click each side in separately on this seat is fantastic and a major plus as far as I'm concerned. Also, our child LOVES this car seat! Much happier and less fussy than in the old one. Why not five stars: The cup holder kind of stinks but at least it's removable. I find that the bottle falls out really easily, maybe with a shorter one or a sippy cup it would stay in there better. I'm not crazy about the way the seat feels--it just doesn't feel padded enough to be really comfortable but since our toddler isn't complaining I guess it's OK. I'd just prefer if it had a little more of a pad to the seat at least. The fabric also feels really thin but I'll give it a chance and see how it holds up. We've only been using it for two months as a second car seat--it's used one or two days a week--and so far it's still in good condition.

SHIPPING Item arrived in time as promised tucked in a sturdy cardboard shipping box. Both the box and product were intact. WHAT IS GOOD ABOUT IT I already have an expensive ( I paid $250) child car seat from another brand but I wanted one especially for the upcoming travel weight being the concern. This car seat is very light but it is also sturdy. Adjusting the harness is easy and convenient. Adjusting the harness on the other car seat ( the expensive one ) is a Hercules task. The seating pad is soft yet firm. Fits perfect for my daughter. Has a cup holder that is detachable. The best part of this car seat is its weight. It is so light I could carry it all over the terminal without feeling the weight. It fits perfectly in a Delta domestic flight which was a Boeing ( Not sure about the Aircraft model) . However, It did not fit on a Spirit flight which was an Airbus. I had to do the gate check in, for that particular flight. It looks sturdy and feels well built but can not comment on the quality until it is out to a test which I would not want. Going through the previous reviews, I remember some one mentioning about the real life test and how it saved the child. So I feel, it should do well in case of an unfortunate event. WHAT IS NOT SO GOOD ABOUT IT The only minor issue is with the cup holder. It does not stay in place when you load it up with a heavy cup. I can use some glue to put it in place but then it is beats the idea of "detachable cup holder". Bottom Line It is value for money and the best car seat If you have to carry it on a flight or use it on a rental car. Would I recommend it to a friend Yes, I would.

I purchased this car seat after reading a review on BabyGearLab.com. I've used their site for guidance on several items and they've all proved to be great purchases, including this car seat. We needed another convertible car seat for my spouse's car. I wasn't willing to cash out another $300 for a Britax and was thrilled to find this seat at an AMAZING price. I'm surprised at the quality of this seat. Of course it lacks the fancy features of our Britax but for short rides in our second car it is perfect. It's also light weight and will be more convenient to use during air travel. From the reading I've done, it's recommended to keep your child in an infant car seat until age 9 months to a year. (Most babies outgrow their infant seat due to height, not weight). I don't think this seat is best suited for young babies, despite the weight allowances, because there are not different reclining positions. The bottom piece is flipped to one side for rear facing and the other side for forward facing. Our daughter is 13 months and with the seat installed properly and rear facing, the position is significantly upright compared to the angle of an infant car seat. I, personally, would be worried about breathing difficulty with a young infant at such an upright angle. The seat was easy to install in our Chevy Traverse using the LATCH system. From reading the manual, I believe it will be simple to install on an airplane and I will update my review after our experience with that. The "headrest" is a lightly padded piece that loops behind the cover and Velcros together. My daughter easily tugs at it and pulls it off so there isn't cushion around her head. This isn't a huge deal because the seat is inexpensive and we only use it for short rides. I recommend this seat for use in a second car or for a family on a budget. Even though it lacks nicer features of high end brands, I feel confident this seat will protect my child.

We bought the Evenflo Tribute LX Convertible Car Seat, Saturn for our last trip the US over a month ago, since it was cheaper to buy a budget-friendly car seat vs. renting one from the car company. Plus, we also needed a second car seat to leave at grandma's house. So far, I'm really liking this car seat, even over our more expensive Peg Perego Switchable 0+/1 (the European version of the Peg Perego Convertible car seat). What I like: - Safety ratings. Although we can't personally attest to the safety ratings, after reading ample reviews of this product, it seems to have safety ratings in crash test that exceeds the minimum requirements. - Very light. Finally, a convertible car seat that weigh less than my 1.5 year old! This was a big factor for us in buying another car seat, since my husband was sick of carrying our heavy Peg Perego whenever we travel. - Easy to care for cover. My LO gets car sick a lot...and, yes, that means he sometimes vomits after long car rides. So the fact that we can throw the entire cover in the washing machine is a Godsend. With our Peg Perego, I could only spot clean the cover. - Release button was easy to use. - Contrary to many reviews who found this seat hard to use without a towel, I managed to get a leveled and tight fit, rear-facing and using the latch system. Despite being a non-athletic, petite woman (5' and 95 lbs), I was able to use my body weight to get a good fit in our 2017 KIA Sorreto and economy Citroen car rentals. I think the key is to pull the latch threat from inside the car seat instead of from the side, so that means lifting part of the seat cover, which for me was not hard to take on or off. - Made in the USA (although the cover is made in China). What I'm neutral about: - This is a no-frills, bare-bone car seat (hence the lighter weight and lower price). - The padding is very thin, although the seat area has a bit more padding. Since my LO cannot really express the level of comfort of this car seat, I can say that he managed to fall asleep consistently when we drive somewhere for more than an hour. What I dislike: - The cup holder that came with the seat is practically useless. It is no longer as how it is pictured, and the new version--although it looks better--seems to have been made as an afterthought. You cannot attach the cup holder without the cover squishing over the opening. The direction also says you can only use a soft cup in the cup holder...I guess that means you can't really use a sippy cup or most reusable bottles in this unless they are made out of styrofoam or very soft plastic. - If I don't pay attention, I always get the thread (that you pull to tighten the seat belt) stuck between the car's seating and the car seat, and it's not always so easy to fish out after you've achieved a leveled and tight fit. - It takes a bit of space when you're rear-facing so the front-passenger seat cannot recline or go back far. Overall, I am very satisfied with this car seat. So much that we might leave our other convertible car seat at grandma's instead of this one.

I had been looking for a carseat that was basic in colors, good safety ratings, and overall a good price! This was my pick. Now I am huge on reviews myself. Anything I purchase online I read the review on it if it has one. This one had a few mixed reviews itself as most products do, but for the price I wanted to give it a shot. I really like the seat itself. It has a recline option and its super easy to adjust. The harness is pretty easy to get off and on. It's EXTREMELY light weight! Which was not the case with the last one I had. The only thing I worry about is that we have 6 kids and are going on vacation very soon (20 hour drive), and the padding is VERY thin. I have noticed that my 10 month old doesn't stay comfy for too long. We thought at first he was just getting bored, but I really think he's just not comfortable. I may end up switching out my old one for the vacation and using this one for everyday use. I have thought about getting some type of padded insert to try but not sure about that either. Overall its a good product for the price, I just wish it had a little more padding. (I did read this in the reviews before I purchased as well)

Car seat is very light weight and was purchased to easily carry in an airport. I would like to mention that it comes with the latch system but the latch hooks are very hidden!! There is no red button and they aren’t like normal latches. They are black hooks that are clipped to the sides of the back of the car seat. The hooks are clipped to the top of the back of the seat so look closely at the car seat before you get ready to install it. Unhook them then you can attach to the latch system then pull tight sonits snug. Then the seat belt can go through and hook the seat belt in. For forward facing there is also a black hook to clip to the top of the back seat so check for that too. If you have not purchased this yet and are not looking for something light weight to carry on an airplane I suggest looking at more expensive seats if you can afford it because there aren’t any options for a canopy to block out the sun and there isn’t a built in cup holder for snack or a bottle and is only good until 40lbs unlike more expensive seats good until 70 or 80 pounds. But 5 stars for the price, for how light weight it is if you need to move it a lot between cars or through an airport and that it’s durable and well made so it’s a safe seat at a good price.
